Super League Aftermath.

I heard an interesting argument on The Athletic podcast, they stated that the clubs are likely to be in breach of the fit & proper owner test. Apparently that test happens once a year, and not just when the club is purchased. Did not know that!

This is what I was alluding to above. The FA ostensibly have the owners over a barrel here.

I hereby declare that:
(i) I am not either directly or indirectly involved in or have the power to determine or influence the management or administration of another Football Club (including the direct or indirect holding of a Significant Interest in that Football Club) against which the Club may play fixtures in any Competition sanctioned by The Association and acknowledge that The Association may exercise its absolute discretion in the application of this Disqualifying Condition to protect the integrity of the game based on any involvement that I may have in more than one club given the position of those clubs in the game;

There are several clauses there that could’ve been breeched. But this, in part, is why I would like to see the private discussions during the planning made public. If it is true that Chelsea and us were basically told “join us or get left behind,” that would constitute “the power to determine or influence the management or administration of another Football Club”

How the fcuk are spuds going to pay for their stadium now ?

Firesale Kane and Son, already removed the not so special (any more) one from their wage bill.

However, on a more positive note, they'll have the best. stadium in the Championship by far (until the 'can't pay, we'll take it away' team come knocking)..!
How many would be sitting/standing in that stadium when York come visiting, not to mention Harrogate.

Tebas shooting his mouth off again calling ourselves and PSG state owned clubs and saying we need to be monitored.

As I said on page 1. The spanish clubs are Fukced!!! La liga is in danger of going the way of Italian football. The money has been squandered. The competative nature of the PL has been what has allowed it to grow and also what keeps a lid on the clubs debts as you never know when you are going to miss out on the top 4. In Spain the top 2 get CL football every year but its not enough.

The mutterings today from Spain centering around how they can't buy big players without this SL is damning really. What they really mean is that they want to continue to inflate players prices and keep buying galactico teams without actually having the money to pay for it.

Why should anyone help them with their sick obsession, I hope the clubs fold.
You can’t buy big players any more? Welcome to reality. How does it taste?

Yet they're still signing Alba from Bayern on a five year deal, madness.

There are many clauses therein that any club could fall foul of on any given day, such is the nature of competition.
Seems pretty wonky to me.
(Not that I have a legal background of any kind. Just a sometimes logical mind.)

The media are already spinning it that it was dipper & rag fans, players and pundits who saved football & got it all stopped.

amazing hearing spitty praise Klopp Hendo Jimmy Bamford Leeds fans but no mention of the first teams to leave!
