Superbia Membership

City will have to be very carefull how many Superbia STs they allocate. If it means fans who travel to away games regularly, like myself, fail to get ticket for say 25% of away games therefore slipping down the points table will mean next Season there will be no point of turning up for early round Lg/FA/Ch.Lg. Home Cup games. Scunthorpe, say, would not get anywhere near the 20,000 or so they got last time. Tread very carefully Mr Cooke!!!

its very difficult to get a pefect balance of fans being happy and the club getting the money they need..... could turn out to be a system that works well

it could also go tits up :o

I understand City need to increase Revenue but Superbia for many would be totally uneconomical. Being over 65 I would get my Platinum Card for £345. Add the £800 I spent on away tickets last Season (I only failed to get a Chelsea Ticket) comes to £1145. To many like myself it would not even be worth a passing thought!

add to the £1145 all the cup tickets home and away in the Carling, FA and Europa League that you did or could have gone to...

this clubs management is taking the club the wrong way, the way it treats its fans,me and my lad are seasoncard holders,my two girls come to the home matches when they can, they are live4city members, city "used" to charge them a fiver a game,as the season progressed it went up to £10 then £15 and the final straw was £20 so in effect it would cost me over £100 to take my 3 kids to the game, sorry city you can shove it,these kids are the lifeblood of the clubs future.......mcfc = rip off, don"t trust them.....

Already added the away tickets. All Home tickets, over 65, probably another £120. (6 Europa & 4 FA) Still no where near worth it, and there's many in the same position.

£100 to take your 3 kids....and you think that's rippiing you off!!! In some clubs it costs that just for an adult to go.
Hey, why don't we just change all rules in life so people with loads of kids get things for nothing.....talk about not being able to see the wood for the trees. Get real

i think the club is doing its best for the fans and i am still so shocked how cheap our season tickets are :) we must be the best value for money team in the whole premier league so im quite pleased.

its just the superbia thing which is one of those "grey areas" which isnt fully explained properly

Did you go as a kid ? If so who paid for you ? When were you a kid ?

I'm guessing....

Yes, Dad (or Mum), so the answer to the final question is important because the price is going up.

If we don't make it easy for parents to take their kids, we'll never get new fans, and we will see our crowds steadily fall away, I'm sure you can work out why....

How can you be 'so shocked' ?

They are more expensive then they have ever been and have been rising gradually at a rate above inflation for the past few years.

You might think that they represent value for money but how can it 'shock' you? Have the prices only just dawned on you after several years.

Anyway, the point is this.

Your comment about them being 'the best value for money in the Premier League' gives you away.

The best value for money in the Premier League are the club with the cheapest range of prices. It is as simple as that. No, factoring in the quality of player, no factoring in trophies won. That is all nonsense.

To a Wigan fan a Wigan season ticket is much more valuable than a United season ticket, so even if United tickets were cheaper than Wigan ones it wouldn't make a Wigan fan feel that he should go to watch United instead as they have better players. Unless he isn't really much of a Wigan fan at all and is mainly attracted by the glamour of the players he can watch.

This argument about "being grateful to pay loads more to watch good players" is shite. It gives people away as to their commitment to the club.

We want to watch Manchester City. We don't decide that we are only going to watch them if the standard of player meets a certain level.

Whenever people start going on about watching City being 'value for money' because 'we have good players' that just sounds like another way of saying 'I wouldn't be watching them if we were shit', to me.

Winds me right up, as it were.
