i think the club is doing its best for the fans and i am still so shocked how cheap our season tickets are :) we must be the best value for money team in the whole premier league so im quite pleased.
its just the superbia thing which is one of those "grey areas" which isnt fully explained properly
How can you be 'so shocked' ?
They are more expensive then they have ever been and have been rising gradually at a rate above inflation for the past few years.
You might think that they represent value for money but how can it 'shock' you? Have the prices only just dawned on you after several years.
Anyway, the point is this.
Your comment about them being 'the best value for money in the Premier League' gives you away.
The best value for money in the Premier League are the club with the cheapest range of prices. It is as simple as that. No, factoring in the quality of player, no factoring in trophies won. That is all nonsense.
To a Wigan fan a Wigan season ticket is much more valuable than a United season ticket, so even if United tickets were cheaper than Wigan ones it wouldn't make a Wigan fan feel that he should go to watch United instead as they have better players. Unless he isn't really much of a Wigan fan at all and is mainly attracted by the glamour of the players he can watch.
This argument about "being grateful to pay loads more to watch good players" is shite. It gives people away as to their commitment to the club.
We want to watch Manchester City. We don't decide that we are only going to watch them if the standard of player meets a certain level.
Whenever people start going on about watching City being 'value for money' because 'we have good players' that just sounds like another way of saying 'I wouldn't be watching them if we were shit', to me.
Winds me right up, as it were.
