Superbowl - important questions answered

How long before Association Football has the veneer of American Football? Is it four periods play, broken up by incessant inaction. Drink breaks have sneaked their way in, VAR scrutiny, forensically when we have scored a 'controversial' goal, refs miked up, but without the paying fans hearing a fuckin' word. The move to call Hull City Hull Tigers got chucked out but these things have a habit or returning.

back in the 70s 80s ITV world of sport would show the superbowl highlights a week after the event
Correct.
Used to think it was a fast exciting game and they threw the ball forward unlike backwards in rugby.
The highlights was about 20 or 30 mins long so all action and touchdowns every 2 mins....

Then I got older and watched a live superbowl game on TV and realised what a terrible, slow, stop / start game it is.....didn't even last until half time with the time difference.
Then I worked in Ashton (early 2000's) with this prick who became a green bay packer fan. He hated "soccer" and would wear his green bay clothing to work and was clearly pissed off that none of us ever picked up on it or spoke to him about it..... so he would seek us out and try to shoehorn it into the conversation so we ended up having to avoid him at break times, after work do's etc.
