Support Pep

We had a whole first team out for one game. We were missing less players than our opponents when spurs smacked us at home, a spurs that got beat by ipswich and drew to fulham either side of that
Dippers had similar number of players unavailable as us Last weekend Injuries have been a factor but they've somewhat masked the fundamental problems we've had all season. if anybody still thinks this is purely due to injuries they've either not been watching or they've gone full dipper in the delusion scale. Even when we had a good start to the season the signs were there for some of us of this happening, it's his tactical setups that are costing us, therefore he's the primary cause.
I stopped reading at one game

After that he said "blah blah end of the world, blah blah Its all on Pep this is, blah blah, happy clappers, the enlightened ones saw this coming blah blah blah" :)

I say win the next two games and we are at the same points total as we were last season after 15 (When all the flappers were out then - happy flapping), so lets see, I am certainly not losing my shit yet. Soz Ninjamonkey.

At a minimum, he has a significant role to play.

The issue is not just our point total though. We've had times were playing well but had a bad game or a few unlucky games. Where we were better but the other team won on 3 shots or got a lucky draw.

That's not what's happening here. We got smacked 4-0 by an average Spurs team on our grounds. It's not the same thing!!!

Wasting your time mate.

Before we were smacked we missed multiple chances, take them and we are coasting. I am not saying there isnt problems though, but for me it is confidence and injuries.

Anyway, no the issue isnt points totals, it is our lack of cohesion and passing and holding leads, so many things that all (For me) point to a team who dont believe in themselves, a 2nd string who dont know if they can be champions. And our lack of goals in the early game. We still have (by far) the best shots per game, if we put them in its a totally different story.

So for me the season ISNT over. Score them opportunies, get the confidence back, we go on a roll. Lets see.

Unequivocal support for the man. No doubt. 7 games without a win and that support was shown again tonight, in spades.

But...

..why he feels the need to give it the double handed lets hear you gesture to the fans, as he did tonight, I have no idea and it doesn't sit well with me at all.

Just sets the fans up for more shit and there was absolutely no need for it tonight.

We have had several games early season where we were a tad fortunate to pull of wins, they say your earn your luck and I would agree to an extent but the drop off in our performances has been considerable.

We used to cruise through games barley getting out of second gear, those days have gone for me.

Injuries and fatigue have hit us hard but again that issue could have been rectified in the summer, this squad of players have been asked a lot of in terms of effort and sheer will power and with most of them involved in a Euros and Copa America I was amazed the club expected the same players less one (Alvarez) to go again, even more so with a Club World Cup the following Summer.

When does the transfer window open in summer? Can we add players before we start the World Cup? I do think Pep needs to rethink having a small squad now, looking at that bench we are on the bones of our arse.

We can sign players for the WC and that could be a very good pitch for new players.

And if the unthinkable happens and we did not make top 4 it will help considerably in terms of finance and attraction of players.

We might be able to sign players but adding them at the end of the season prior to this competition and expecting them to fit in to Pep's system are 2 different things entirely. Perhaps somebody who has played for him before could be an option (thinking Kimmich from Bayern if he doesn't renew his contract there),

That's the least of our worries, the Club WC is going to be a preseason tournament for us, I would say the perfect environment to get us to speed with pep ball.

Next seasons PL and fingers crossed CL campaigns have to be the priority for Pep.

I would imagine Pep is ...
- 20% tactics
- 20% skills
- 40% motivation
- 20% faith

It mindboggles my boggled mind why he sticks to tactics that are mind-boggling.

Like not playing Grealish in the middle years ago. Or winning corners that we never score from. Or constantly being vulnerable to breaks. Or being shit at breaks ourselves.

I think his success has relied on faith in his players more than the average manager. We sometimes see the flip side of that. And recently more than ever.

I honestly wonder if another manager with the same squad these past 2 seasons could have won more.

Buit we need to have faith in Pep too. In a way we need to give him this opportunity to overcome this challenge because its not very often that he faces it.
