Sven Goran Eriksson | Passes away from cancer aged 76 (p 32)

Hope he gets whatever last wishes he’s asked for , regardless of club rivalry I hope in whatever he chooses his time left with us is happiness. Go out on a high Sven . Cancer won’t take your last wishes.
 
I’m not one to pull any punches on Liverpool but this isn’t the time or place for rivalry.

If Sven is a Liverpool fan and one of his dying wishes is to manage them for a game then it’s a nice gesture for them to facilitate it, as I’m sure any other club would.

It’s not about Liverpool trying to “claim” him ffs.

He's been granted a dying wish to manage Liverpool by being part of the management team for a Liverpool Legends side v Ajax.

I've only become aware of it today so I've no idea but unless we know otherwise then we have to take it as genuine.

Yes, sorry. It's probably poor taste to question it, but I don't trust those jokers an inch. All the teams he has managed all over the world, but he really wants to manage Liverpool just the once?

He said on talksport the day after he’d revealed his diagnosis that one of his regrets is never having managed Liverpool.

Lovely gesture by them for a lovely man. Some bucket list to have ticked off, that.
 
Funnily enough this just popped up. Sven Snr is still alive. Heartbreaking and proud in equal measure it will be for him.
