I quite liked the Sven period.
Had a few really decent and capable players and there was a sense of optimism after the horrific 10 goal at home season under Stuart Pearce.
He was really calm, and at times funny in a really dry way in press conferences, and I seem to remember one where Joey Barton supposedly made a comment about our takeover by Shinawatra, suggesting that it may not have happened if it hadn't been for him (indicating that his performances the season before had kept us in the Premier League).
It was put to Sven and his reply was a simple 'Thank You' with a confused kind of smile and little laugh.
I preferred Sven to the two managers either side of his reign.
