Swamp Derby - 25/3/14

As much as the fans believe Liverpool are their biggest rivals I believe the players will be up for playing us more i.e. can't see them gifting us 3 penalties. Nevertheless if we play with the intensity we have shown in the last two games we should walk away with the 3 points without too much issue.

We were always better than Moyes' Everton sides but they always seemed to turn us over. Nothing is ever guaranteed in football.

Having said that, 9 times out of ten we should be winning this game.

Not away from home we weren't. But those Everton sides were probably better than the rags now.

According to the odds we'll win between 4 and 5 times out of 10.

I think Manuel will rest Vinny, Silva and Yaya for this game and concentrate on the Arsenal game the weekend after

I'd be surprised if Fernandinho plays 90 minutes and even if Sergio is 100% fit I don't think he will play any part

I'd look at giving games to Micah and maybe even Rodwell if hes back fit, and hopefully Jovetic can play full 90

Come on guys FFS, do you honestly believe were gonna underestimate them, This is a derby with 3 points at stake in the only competition were left in, were not playing Wigan/Watford/Blackburn in a cup competition where we should be able to 'cruise through'

Full team playing at full throttle wins us the game

We changed management then?

ok you think Manuel will underestimate the scum, I absolutely think he will not, so lets disagree

I hope not but it certainly wouldn't be the first time he underestimated an opponent

Don't think he has put out a team that shouldn't have beaten the underdog we have been playing. Also when you look where he has come from he has usually been the underdog beating the bigger teams. So I don't think he underestimated opponents, more that he overestimated the abilities of some of his squad player that he probably didn't know that much about in his first season. Either way he will not be playing anything but a full strength team in this game.

Oh god. "He underestimates weak teams" appears to have become to pellegrini what "he has no plan b" became to Mancini: a baseless cliche repeated so often that it becomes the accepted truth.

In modern football you have to rotate your squad. Sometimes that loses you games. That's the reason no team in history has won a domestic treble.

It's not completely without base. As a collective group, the attitude with which we approached the Wigan and Watford matches was appalling. I don't think the rotation was the issue.

Has any got the video of the Rags singing worst title defence last season? If so, can you post it please.

We've got to get this going next week.

Keep on bumping it chaps. :-)
