Swansea away pre-match thread

The road to Cardiff ironically starts in Swansea so lets treat this like a CL group stage away game where a draw is good and a win is better.

Solid at the back and hit them on the break. If we're professional about this we'll win by 2 or 3. We've got the experience of playing big teams away in Europe so lets use it.

Those seriously suggesting we go and play for a draw.

Have you seen the mistakes in our defence even when we play well like Sunday?

If we go there doing anything other than attempt to score as many goals as possible we will lose after a very long afternoon.

They play openly and attack. That suits us IF we play to our strengths.

Look at the PL stats. Most goals scored. Most goals conceded in top 6 or 7.

It is obvious what our strengths are - especially without Vinny. Scoring - not stopping attacking sides from scoring.

Going there for a draw would be suicide and I hope that the club are not thinking like some of you seem to be.

Go for a win and you can afford to draw.

Go for a draw and you cannot afford to lose.

One mistake could lead to either. But only the first option guarantees CL.

That is how we should view our choices here.

Looks like Nasri was involved in training today, so hopefully he'll be available for selection. Could do with his ball retention qualities.

Do we know what happened last week if he was not injured?
