Swans fan here. First of all thoroughly enjoyed the game last night. Thought we did ok for the first hour but then your class shone through. Augero was a quality player and you will definitely be challenging for the title this season.

Chatted to group of them on way back to the car - good lads -asked them about return fixture and they said no trouble at their place ("we're not Cardiff") - away fans welcome in plenty of pubs.

Met a few of them in the Corner Shop before the game, really good to chat to and they hate United nearly as much as us. One of the guys even said they'd have more possession than us, which I was sceptical about to say the least, but fair play to him. They'll be fine this season I think, they have some good players, a good coach and I can see their ground being a bit of a fortress with their atmosphere, a bit like Stoke. Good luck to them.

That hatred is for a good reason, after what happened at Cardiff when the rags played their in 1974 the yr after we relegated them. The utd fans decided it would be a good idea to sing ABERFAN at the Welsh fans,bad,bad idea,it caused mayhem.
They really did take the game to us. and i expect them to beat wigan at the weekend. good luck.

the bloke in their upper tier near near the east stand kept me amused till he got slung out.

Did his full range of suggestive thrusting, bending over showing his arse, disabled walking and obscene gestures before taking his shirt off then putting it back on again. Lasted til about 70 mins until the police decided he wasnt worth another warning and off he went.

Went to the Liberty a few years ago whilst visiting a mate
who was working in Swansea...the goat was playing against them for Gillingham
had a great night down Wind st afterwards...crazy

Nice to read all your positive comments about the Swans last night. I think everything's been covered by other posters really, but I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Etihad. Great view from the second tier too!

I hope our first game promise continues and we can go one better that Blackpool and survive our first season in the big time.

Last night we all saw history, in many different capacities. And you City fans saw two and a half thousand Jacks loving life and thoroughly enjoying a 4-0 drubbing. LOVE IT!

Condolences to the Blue who had a heart attack after the match. RIP.

Nice one. Spoke to a couple of "Jacks" (sorry for my ignorance but what does that refer to..?) after the game and they were decent lads. They had smiles on their faces and said they'd enjoyed the game and like everyone else were waxing lyrical about Aguero.. They did comment on how big a team we were and especially Yaya! They also had a healthy dislike for the swamp dwellers which always goes down well in these parts. Wished each other all the best for the season... Just how it should be.

I was impressed with your team and fans from beginning to the end, both a great credit to your club.

Swansea fans were brilliant last night and the team did them proud. It will be a tough season, I think Swansea have enough to cause teams problems and win games amongst the teams around them. After last night, and my experience of the Ninian Park Car park back in the 90's cup game, I reckon Swansea are now my, and most City fans' welsh team...
