Swansea v Chelsea/Arse Vs West ham/Hazard incident

To highlight the absurdity of the FA's decision on this, one of the members of our forums dug this up, I'm quoting his post there directly:

Following that Oxford fan's post about an incident in the Oxford-Swindon game last March, when a Swindon player shoved and grabbed a ball boy and got yellow carded, I googled it and found this:
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.rageonline.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4461" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.rageonline.co.uk/phpBB3/view ... f=1&t=4461</a>
which was a request from an Oxford fan for the FA to look into it. This is the FA's reply:

Thank you for contacting The Football Association.

Thank you for
bringing this matter to our attention. The FA has investigated and
liaised with Oxford United on this matter. The player was cautioned by
the Referee for the incident and has subsequently apologised to the
satisfaction of the ballboy and Oxford United.

Kind regards

The writer (a pompous twat, based on his posts on that forum) then wrote back asking for clarification of what the yellow card was for. The FA informed him it was;

a) solely for the altercation with the ballboy and b) was for "unsporting conduct".

I found a photo of the incident:

I don't understand your point mate. Are you saying the two incidents are the same? Didn't Hazard get a violent conduct charge for kicking and not a unsporting charge for pushing?

I understand his point, both incidents are a nonsense,in fact the 'pushing' one, imo,is more serious as there was an intentional assault.

Hazards only intent was retrieving the ball from the bellend lying on it in order to waste time and provoke a reaction.

The FA need to grow a pair, this is an opportunity.

The point is the double standard. Why is attacking a ballboy and throwing him to the ground "unsporting conduct" and kicking a ball from under the bellend who refused to relinquish it "violent conduct". Why is the FA dropping the Oxford-Swindon incident because, the issue was resolved by the referee at the time and Oxford and the ballboy accepted the apology; when the exact same circumstances don't matter here? Because Swindon isn't Chelsea and that match wasn't on Sky.

I remember when Rio Ferdinand kicked one of our female stewards a few years back, leaving her with some pretty bad bruising. He didn't get so much as a warning. Is it too much to ask to watch a game of football in this country without it turning into a farcical circus?
