Why didnt the follow through have to be that high? He kicked the ball at the height it was at, the Ukraine player came in for the ball "late" if anything and at pace, never a nice thing to see and hope the guy is ok, but if thats dangerous play then what was the Swedish guy supposed to do? Stand aside and let ukraine score?
As I've said to some else a 50/50 where boots and legs are going to leave the ground you're immediately at risk.

Accident or not you're endangering an opponent's safety.

I can't believe what I am reading. That is a red all day long by todays rules. He was not in control. Totally irrelevant if it was done without malice. You have to be in control of follow through. Let's see if any pro defends that tackle as a non red.

He won the ball tbf. It was only momentum that took him through. Slow motion often makes a challenge look worse than it actually was.
The slow-mo of the man's knee and leg getting bent to fuck and no doubt a ligament or two damaged.

That tackle was as bad as some of the ones we have complained about that get delivered to City players on a game by game basis and in the main we get nothing.

Studs showing, means you deserve a red card, he could have snapped his knee in two, horrible.

I have and I've never done what he did. His follow through didn't have to be that high and that dangerous.
If the ball is bouncing at around shin/knee height and you want to clear the ball high and long, please explain how your follow through can be anything other than high? You can’t kick the ball upwards and at the point of impact, teleport your leg to the grass.
