The only solace whe it's comes to the UK is that we have had these minor right wing surges, recently BMP and Kippers getting council seats and the odd MEP, but gey thnkfully never seem to last meore than one local election and Parliamentary wise haven't gotten close.

The answer is political and economic turmoil in the face of weak and ineffectual government. While we’re not at the mercy of the economic turmoil that the Weimar Repiblic had to contend with, other parts of Europe have significant economic issues which have led to migration and high levels of youth unemployment.

UKIP policies are being pursued by the Tory party. Make no mistake the Tory party has shifted to the right. By just how much remains to be seen.
If some people genuinely hand on heart believe that the Tories are far right then in my opinion their moral compass is off by some way.
