He was walking around just fine this afternoon, definitely not COVID and nothing obvious i.e. a cast or protective boot. Strange how the club are so vague about him not being "fully fit".
It’s very common for athletes to have injuries that just don’t show in everyday life, but which prevent them from doing certain aspects of training and from attending their sporting discipline in earnest.
I had an AC separation grade 3, in my early 30’s, and there was a period ‘post general recovery’ when I felt great, had pretty much full movement in the shoulder but I then had a further month of attending physio, doing stretching exercises etc. before I could even think about getting back on the judo mat or pushing heavy weights.
It doesn’t need to be obvious and often isn’t.
