SWP- A challenge to all

[SWP's back]

SWP was my favourite player (look at my name) but he is being an arse.

I will believe you if you can find me 3 players directly quoted as wanting more pay in the last 10 years? Or do you not think a single player wanted more money in the last decade as it was not in a paper? Simplistic does not even start to cover it mate.

what proof do you have of this?

do you class him as being an arse because he wants a new contract if so that puts about 99.9% of all footballers that go for improved contracts an arse!

No - he is being an arse letting his Dad write bollocks and then go on the radio talking bollocks about City. It made us look shit and the club are more important than any player.

Yes it was his father, not him, but he should have made a retraction straight away saying the he doesn't believe the club are "mugging him off".

And i don't give a fuck about other players. They're not getting slagged from pillar to post off their own fans (but how about terry,tranny, arshavin, ballack, cole, g neville and etuhu)

That all came out after the signed or left clubs though. As I am sure it will at some point with SWP.

If this was another player at any other club City fans would be slagging them off to fuck. How many players have you heard come out & say they want more money? None is my guess, yet how many times do we know that money really is the issue? Just because he's "one of ours" people seem to lose all subjectivity. Can't have it both ways. Take off those tinted specs!

He signed before all the money came.

And how naive must you be to think that Shaun hadn't involved his father in what was going on?

Either way, you can see how easy it is for players' own agendas to be aired via a variety of platforms.

Remember the stick Barton got after that - and he was our best player at that time and for the remainder of that particular season.

Shaun is a long way from that, so he has completely misread the situation and importance.

Oh I'm with you on the agenda bit Tolmie; I believe it's the case they have their agent's agitating and manipulating for them and I'm hard pressed to recall a single incident where a player has come outright with 'I want a rise' (and this was the standard of evidence we were being expected to provide before one of the posters would believe SWP was behind it all) as he would alienate the fans unnecessarily - far better to have his agent do it and then respond in coded media articles after the event - it's all stage managed.

Let's just hope SWP doesn't go to Willie Mackay though. It'll make a bad situation even worse!

They called him a greedy shite.

Not sure - as you said earlier, there are various ways of doing things, all of which usually involve someone else (which are deniable) but no matter what, the fans know what is being played out before them, as has been demonstrated here, in the main.

Even if it were Ade's agent doing the dirty (on Ade's instructions) the Arsenal fans knew who to blame, and boy they did!
