Shaun was dreadful tonight, a lot of you are overlooking this by pointing to other players' performances as some sort of justification which is just plain daft. If you look at SWP's individual performance as a neutral the only conclusion you can come to is that he was shite.
All I could think of while watching SWP endlessly concede possession and stumble over the ball was how Johnson must have felt, we were all watching a prime example of why he was deemed more useful at club level than his more "experienced" counterpart, and as such why he kept him out of the side for 5 months.
All Capello had to do was pay a little more attention on his occasional visits to CoMS and he would have realised what we all knew months ago, but now it's probably only starting to sink in after tonight's game and SWP is in SA while Johnson is sitting at home watching his inferior counterpart on the telly.
If he'd have tested the water in the friendlies this could've been avoided, it's an absolute travesty Johno isn't in SA.
