We have a number of squad players that seem to be disillusioned, mainly because they were first team players not so long ago. It makes sense to let them go and bring in either older or much younger players that are satisfied being on the fringes. We've already started that process by bringing in Taylor and letting Hart go on loan.
I think we could see Dunne, Petrov, Ben haim, Benjani & Garrido all leave this week and 3 or 4 back up players come in.

If we don't get another CB in addition to Lescott, I say we keep Dunne if he is happy being 5th choice behind Toure, Ned, Lescott and Kompany. TBH can leave, as well as Benjani and Garrido of course. All we need is a great central midfielder to give Barry and Ireland some cover, and we should be set. That central midfielder is crucial though, as any long term absence of Barry/Ireland (or both) is a disaster for us without good cover. We have great cover on the rest of the positions of the pitch, and central midfield is the heart of the team, so good cover there is absolutely crucial.
