Syria | Assad flees to Moscow as rebels capture Damascus

Could be a good game this. What channel is this on? Why are they playing outside the normal international break?
They're not showing it live but there's highlights on YouTube. If you're lucky you might get some crowd footage on periscope.

If Russia win it'll be a hollow victory. There's rumours that they've breached ffp (fighting fair play) regulations. What do expect when you have a bottomless pit of cash to buy fighter jets, missiles and combat ships? Putin's a shit manager anyway. Put him in charge of Luxembourg and let's see how hard he is with no resources.

It’s cooled down. Turkey got what it wanted from the outset. EU will probably re-engage with Turkey on the refugee issue. Russia saved face.

So if the corona virus doesn't do for you, there maybe a Russian bullet with your name on it, just for good measure.
Ain't life a woman at times.
Although a Russian /NATO war may be the only thing that can stop the scousers from winning the PL this season.
Ha.
Just saw this post from last month. Seems we didn’t need WW3 to stop the scousers after all.

With the Russian economy in freefall and its military focused on Ukraine, I suspect there will be significant consequences in Syria. If the opposition to Assad sense that his support from Russia is in decline it could well flare up there again. I've not seen any analysis of this but it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Saw a UK military analyst today who reckons that Ukraine is taking up almost half of Russias military capability now

This was where we understood conventional tactics and where certain regimes stood on a geo-political scale.

We looked on while Putin did his thing.

I was wondering about this very thing. Now that Russia is bogged down in Ukraine, might this open an opportunity for the anti-Assad forces in Syria?
