a quick read through the Talksport thread has identified a host of posters revealing how much better they feel for binning Talksport. Along the lines of "I have not listened to Talksport now for 3 years, I feel so much better for it, "
Do people really get so wound up by a squad of ex pros, who have headed too many wet footballs, that they need to abstain, like reformed Alcoholics or gambling addicts. It is a bit of fun, a job for the boys. Along the the way someone talks a little bit of sense, and there is the odd very good programme. Count to ten. deep breathe, they will not hurt you, It is a Radio Station that does not take itself too seriously, you should not either.

agree with asahartford1, I treat it as something not to take too seriously. I often here one of the clowns, sorry presenters contradict themselves. If I hear that so do many others. There are a few (very few) decent presenters on there in my opinion, most of the ex players come across as uneducated and, to be honest, as sharp as a sausage. Just listen to the errs and umms all the time. Pillocks.
All about being controversial, and we are now a huge topic. They also have to pander to the so called established clubs with supposed large fan bases (scum, dippers etc). Soon we will be part of that (unfortunately) but in the meantime revel in the fact we have now have a great club, great team to match the great fans

I quit Talksport for LBC just a few weeks ago and to be honest I feel better for it. It's a bit like a radio version of Twitter. Perhaps it's just me but I have not missed the shouting and hate-filled bile. LBC is not that great and has no sport. What I really want is a channel which covers football in an intelligent way and provides news I don't already know about. The BBC has lost the plot and become fixated on social media. The biggest demographic in this country is people over 50 and there are millions of sensible football fans. At the moment this huge audience is not catered for by any of the sports media. In Germany and Spain there is huge coverage from specialist newspapers, radio stations, and websites.
