LBC gives a lot of airtime to members of the public who phone in and not all of them are loons! The BBC fills its programmes with the usual suspects from the Westminster bubble. It's like an old pals show for the Oxbridge brigade. BBC football is dominated by follow-up stories from social media fanboys who mostly support Liverpool and United. There is very little original thought and content. Football coverage is diabolical for such a well-funded organisation. With a few exceptions the only intelligent content is provided by foreign journalists like Guillem Balague and Raph Honigstein. I think the BBC will be wiped out by streaming services like Netflix and Amazon. The complacency is amazing.

I too would welcome a sensible Sports/football station. I cannot see this happening anytime soon. Ex footballers who dominate media coverage in this Country are unfortunately too thick to Talk above cliche level. As you say the Tabloids drive the agenda . Which is often skewed or blatatantly bias.

In Spain, where there are sensible football outlets, both on tv and radio, and also football analysis in the newspaper's , the level of discussion is better. Although to be fair it is all dominated by two clubs.

It's pretty much what a hell of a lot of posters on here were saying, Guilty myself i think. Would of been a big ask.
