Remember Barnsley charging away fans in the 80's the same price as their fans were charged by each club when they travelled. Think we paid about £1.25 to stand whereas Chelsea fans were charged around £5. We all know what it's about - getting as many calls as possible. Nothing else. And Jordan is exactly the type they want on the station because he guarantees calls from the masses. The fact the station has been around for so long (without Googling I think it's about 20 years or so) testifies to that.
They don't give a fuck about integrity or honour on that station, if they did they certainly wouldn't be employing the likes of Simon Jordan. So you know what you're going to get when you tune in to it, an audio version of a tabloid newspaper.
Years ago they used to put headlines on the tabloids proclaiming garbage like 'Elvis is alive and well and living in Grimsby' or something. The whole 'Freddie Starr Ate My Hamster' thing was typical tabloid rubbish, and people bought into it - lock, stock & barrel. The TalkSport equivalent today would be 'Is Pep Is The Worst Manager In The Premier League,' or some such fecal matter.
Really, the fact that Kelvin Mackenzie is/was involved in the station should give everyone a clue.

38 1-0 defeats will do me...I listened and to be fair to Anton he hadnt got the memo and tried to stick up for City and Haaland, the other guy was terribly bitter towards us.
He was completely negative about Erling, saying he had an "injury record" and came from a "poor league" and he "couldn't control the ball".
They then talked about Pool and what an amazing signing they had made.
The wife said she couldn't believe her ears and at that point we turned it off!
It's a shite radio station, who have no idea about the game. Doubt I'll listen to it again, unless they're having a dig at United because they've lost 8-0.
