Thought Doyle’s ball work, esp dead balls was first class. I don’t expect an 18 yr old to easily slot into the side, esp a side with 10 changes, on a bobbly pitch, and League Two opposition.
THB is being groomed into an all around defender, and if he can learn the RB/RCB position, bulk up a bit, but keep his cool head and good footwork, he has a very good chance of being in the first team squad rotation for years to come...or might find himself doing the business elsewhere in the Prem, as we have seen for Blues at Burnley and Fulham.
Like Foden before them, I think both Doyle & THB will be given every opportunity to make it at City, and unless they’re in a rush, ....and there is no rush.
The Foden template is working out brilliantly for Phil, so there’s no reason the believe they can’t do the same thing with their respective skills.
