Incredibly lucky his foot wasn't fully planted when the impact struck. That ankle roll probably saved his knee. The guy should definitely have been sent off, standard of refereeing in the championship is awful.

actually the standard of refereeing at most levels is disgracefully bad as proved last week with the dippers getting two goals which should have been disallowed.

As somebody who has suffered and still is suffering from numerous bad knee injuries, that made me wince. That's a career ender. I've only seen the tackle and noticed he played the full game so assume he's alright but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he's done some damage there without yet realising. Could have weakened his knee so that the next awkward movement could see it go. Let's hope he gets a full check up and is fine. Disgraceful he's not seen a red for that, exactly why VAR is essential.

Only watched the first half,but what i saw of him was impressive.He was tenacious and mobile and was marshalling his back line very well,he reads the game superbly and is very capable technically.
Like everyone else,ref aside...i thought it was a definite red as a consequence of a vindictive shithouse foul.

Of all our young defenders,i still think this kid has the most in his locker.Its strange that it went pear shaped in Belgium.

Homesick? Language barrier? VK desperate for points and results etc A shame as it looked a great move tbh, he has a career in the game, hopefully, still with us but if not it would be no shame to end up like Ben Mee and have a long career at the top level.
