Re: Sunday we should be calm and collected

haha yeah i saw the rooney goal in person, but i think the fans and the players need to be together on this one, nothing united can do that we cant do and vice versa, so should just play the game, dont let other shit ruin it

Re: Sunday we should be calm and collected

Sunday will be like every other derby day. I wont sleep properly the night before, shit myself all day, have a heart attack for 115 minutes and then go home and sleep

Re: United Vs City Pre Match discussion Thread

As I posted earlier, I agree with your lineup choices greasedupdeafguy.

but onto a slightly new topic:

anyone else a teeny bit worried about the scum defenders trying to wind up Mario and get him to do something stupid?

It's kind of a mix of nervousness and excitement for me because when you wind up Mario he will either

A) do something awful and get booked, weakening us for the match, or

B) go off and score goals like a maniac to bring us the victory, staring down the dirty devils players and fans in glorious "uncelebration" as he trots away

It will be all or nothing with Super Mario I'm afraid, but at the moment I'd take the risk.

This gives us the midfield strength to win at the swampppp

I know it would seem madness to some but I just can't see not playing De Jong, Barry, or Milner, which means that Yaya would have to be the one dropped. Obviously he has a sparkling record against scum.. but for our team at this moment this seems to be the way to go.

The reason for some of my omissions:

Yaya: I think the defending and skills of De Jong and Barry are needed against united. Yaya if he plays should be in a more forward role as many others have noted recently. If Milner doesn't start, it will be Yaya, and vice versa. I'd go Milner though. Those of you who are dropping Nigel from your lineups to accommodate Yaya along with Barry and Milner are wrong. We need Nige vs. scum!

Dzeko: poor form. we just can't risk it.

Nasri: plays "too cute".. we need a nasty, junkyard dog mentality for this one. Not to mention someone who will give his left nut to get back on defense and win the ball back ala Milner. However, we could always bring Nasri on later for more creativity if needed.

AJ: he has been on point recently but there's just no room.. a sub for width later on perhaps?

As we all know, Mancini seems to never drop yaya, so it'll be interesting...

This is the one.

Re: United Vs City Pre Match discussion Thread

i was so disappointed when we concede from a goal which wasn't suppose to happen,i didn't understand why the coaches are letting the players to do this kind of makings to players with good skills as Spanish or good teams.our way of tackling is nothing to write home about and we allow our opponents to weaken us with their abilities.Barcelona dont stretch their legs to posses or win their tackles but they weed u with pressure and frustrate u.

-- Wed Oct 19, 2011 6:15 pm --

our prospect of making a tittle challenge could come to an end if we don't change they way we tackle our opponents and i really want to see kompany man mark player and also go forward.my ideal defender would be Fabricio Coloccini who has shown is potential as an excellent defender.

Dzeko misses out (poor form)
Nasri to miss out as Milner is in top from and Bobby never leaves Yaya out.
Johnson doesn't cut it in big games.
