Tears of Pain.

Following the fortunes of Manchester City FC, has had very few highs. Even the last minute winner thread is littered with unspectacular moments,

Elland Road cup game cant remember the score know we won ..the one where david harvey and gordon mcqueen were fighting with each other. City scored jumped up the crowd swayed forward landed on the edge of the step broke my bleedin ankle but didnt find out till 36 hours later thanks to the useless x ray machine at Crumpsall Hospital...and Doctors..

stood in the Westen with the other Galway Blues after watching the 5-2 at Stoke, knew we were doomed when Portsmouth won, not ashamed to say I cried buckets...then my little girl Amy aged 7 put he arms around me and said Dont worry dad....I`ll be a city fan too!!!
now she is 19 and as crazy about City as her dad!

Last season at OT in the CC. It was as if someone had died when Rooney scored, couldn't stop until about 20 mins after the game. I even shed a tear the day after at school when I was surrounded by 20 rags as soon as I walked in. I walked away and it was just me on my own walking away from a bunch of plastics chanting 34 years to me. Truly gutted but them lot didn't know what it felt like.

When have you cried with pain and anguish as a City fan, rather than joy?

The one and only time I have ever cried, was during the first season at the new stadium. We were almost staring relegation in the face, and with around 4 or 5 games to go, we lost 3-1 to Southampton, and it left us two points above the relegation zone. I thought that was it. Premier League over. Being ten, I cried as my dad, who had taken me, escorted me out of the ground. That was the worst I've ever felt as a Blue.

I remember this game this very well.. I was about a year older than you if I recall correctly, we were 2-0 down weren't we and then brought one back before Beattie I think finished us? It was alright when Wanchope headed that Newcastle goal though ;)

As for the worst, seeing Rooney's goal at the swap last year killed me. I just didn't know what to do.

81 replay v Spurs. I was 10 years old.

If we win the F.A cup in may, I'll be crying tears of joy. I've never seen us win a trophy (too young to remember 76) and after my recent health battles it'll probably be a bit too much for me..haha..soft ****.
