Before I start this post I want to clarify that I am absolutely delighted with this appointment. He is a great coach, capable of getting teams playing fantastic football.
I would just caution people to be a little bit less enthusiastic and not to expect too much too early with him. He has a job on when he gets here. There is International competition in the summer. He won't have the players for a full pre-season. He is probably going to change formations and styles. Some notable players are probably going to be moved on.
I've read on here that he is going to make the defenders better by pulling some master stroke with a high press. It isn't that easy. I've read on here that he is going to tell Sterling to take players on, so he'll improve.
I've read on here that he'll integrate youth and they'll be like Busquets and Pedro. He's good but he can't make wine out of water.
If everyone expects him to have us playing like Bayern or Barcelona instantaneously then prepare to be disappointed. We have some serious issues with the playing staff, it'll probably take half a season.
In that half a season, he will be ridiculed as a flop, that he can't cope in the "greatest league in the World". The press will be all over it. He'll go toe to toe with them like Mourinho did.
I'm just worried that blues will have expectations built too high and won't be able to sustain the patience while the changes are made.
