Alcaraz just on another level in that QF. Norrie had a chance in the second game with 3 break points, but don’t think that would have changed the outcome, Alcaraz just too good.

Norrie can be very happy with his tournament though, hopefully he can maintain this improved level and get close to the top 20 again.
They say Norrie plays brilliantly in practice but struggles to bring his ‘A’ game onto the match court. I felt he missed a few chances but Alcaraz was well ahead.
Nevertheless, Norrie has had a good run, returning from injury and poor form.
The best run of the tourney is by new mum Bencic, just fantastic. She wasn’t Olympic champ by accident.
The Russian teenager will come again, even stronger with more experience.

Rinky Hijikatu and David Pel into the Doubles final at Wimbledon.
What a match. I was on the edge of my seat. Tie break in the third. Never played together before.
I enjoyed that match, best of the tournament so far.

:-)

Plus Alfie Hewett through to the semi finals in the wheelchair singles. Great stuff.

I think this is a first for Men's or Women's tennis...

4 straight Women's Grand Slam Finalists from a country (USA), and all different players. What a deep pool of talented players!

2024 US Open - Jess Pegula lost to Aryna Sabalenka
2025 Australian Open - Madison Keys defeated Aryna Sabalenka
2025 French Open - Coco Gauff defeated Aryna Sabalenka
2025 Wimbledon - Amanda Anisimova vs. Iga Świątek

I was so impressed with Anisimova today. Her time off and mental maturity really showed itself in that 3rd set. After losing her first service game of the 3rd set, she came back and broke serve on Sabalenka 3 times in that 3rd set, the most impressive being that last game after she was just broken for the 2nd time to lose her once 5-2 lead and win at 5-4 receiving serve.

The MUTE key on my remote control thanks today's results for being able to not be called upon for the finals.
