I wouldn't pretend to be a big tennis fan. Far from it, if truth be told. But to become the youngest ever man to complete the career grand slam (at 22) is a remarkable achievement by Alcaraz. Surpassing anything that any of the greats that have gone before could manage.

Alcaraz is superb.
Sinner only needs the US Open to do the career grand slams as well, both so young.
They seem to be very adaptable across all 4 surfaces.
16 years since Nadal won at Wimbledon and Federer only once won the French.
I'd say the competition isn't as strong at the moment as when Federer, Djokovic, Nadal, Murray and Wawrinka were at their best.
Alcaraz and Sinner will end up doing regularly what Borg Connor Lendl Sampras couldn't do.

Very enthralling final match, especially the contrasts of the first 2 sets.

Novak's speech afterwards with Rafael looking on from the stands was quite a nice touch too. I too wish Rafael could be still down there playing as well, but 39 for Nadal and 38 for Djokovic is so tough to be at the level that Djokovic is still showing that he is.

A well deserved Career Grand Slam at 22 for Alcaraz, and he is well on his way to becoming one of the best ever, if not THE....

Getting past Zverev in the Semis down 5-4 with Zverev serving for the match with Alcaraz's leg cramping he had was the closest he came to not winning this.

Nice to hear at the end the ESPN broadcast crew noted how Carlos came over to their booth near ground level where they cover the match from to say 'hi' with a smile right before the final game tonight. I'm not sure many others would have that same calmness or relaxed approach that he has.

Sinner was leading 6-3 6-2 5-1 but looks to be on his way out, struggling physically.
miracle he is still playing ,just doesnt want to quit. What a nightmare, he was cruising in this game and heat took him down again. How cruel can sport and life be, you are the form of your life ,cruising for victory and suddenly your body fails you...
