Watched Heather Watson before, can't believe she's in the top 70 serving the way she is. Can't buy a first serve and her second serve was getting slapped.

And now the UK press build her up to be the greatest female player.
She is very good.
I hope she can stay injury free and not take on too much at such a young age.
I remember Michael Chang and Aranxte Sanchez Vicario winning a grand slam in the late 80's and both were very young at the time.
Vicario had a good career but probably should have won more but seemed to be injured a lot.
I can't remember much about Chang but he never seemed to move on from that 1st title.

He had a good (and long) career. He never won any more Grand Slam tournaments but got to a few finals and won plenty of other tournaments. He never really had the game to dominate and pretty much did as well as he could with the ability he had.

Raducanu's 1st match since the US Open in the early hours of 'tonight'.

Hope the rest has benefitted her. Going to be tough because everyone is going to want to beat her.

This is the beginning of the hard slog of playing on the tour and gaining ranking points. Let's hope she manages ok, she's just about all we've got.

Chang was world number 2 and won 30+ tournaments and won over $19M. His career earnings, including endorsements, were over €30M, so he did ok.….

Hope she can handle the fame she's gained ,the pressure on her is going to be enormous now, before the US Open there was no pressure but now people have expectations from her. Hopefully she has the mental strenght to stay at the top after winning a GS unlike Ostapenko for example.

Well if that first game is anything to go by this match won't last 2 seconds.

Brilliant shots from Raducanu, generating a huge amount of power on what is a slow court.
