I don't know anyone who wants that at all, however I do know a fair few people who just want a free for all and not deport anyone at all.

We need a process and that process has to have deportation as an option, it has to be quicker and it has to be fair.

Which, I think, most on here want. Allow the genuine ones and deport the others.

Just don’t leave them waiting months/years at our expense to make that decision.

Absolutely and as I said in another reply, we need to a proper process set up in Calais, where the UK border is.

And once set up, everyone who doesn’t go through this centre should be deported.

There’s an ever increasing number of people who aren’t escaping persecution and war who are coming tho and that’s a significant problem that needs a tough stance.

Many of the People crossing the Channel know damn well they have no reasonable claim to Asylum and have no intention of going through Legal Channels. What is needed is a speedy system for removing such people from the UK (given they are coming anyway) to disincentivise such trips but how do you achieve this in practice?

I live there. It’s horrid.

I live just outside ramsgate, this whole area isnt great.
I worked in dover for two years not long ago.
The problem these seaside towns have is that alot of non brits live here now. You can feel the odd one out.
I work in ramsgate and I would say its nearly 50/50 British non British language I hear each day.

There are some areas I wont go to after dark, cliftonville being the main place I avoid.

The problem is getting worse, I think unless you live around here you dont see how poor things are getting.

Manston where the immigrants are being held is a run down old RAF base. Locals dont want to work there due to the problems and sickness that's going around.

I dont know what the answer is and to hear some people talking its scary what they think.

I think they are playing this incident down by not labelling it as a terrorist attack but claiming the man was mentally ill. Why drive 100 miles to attack a migrant processing centre with pre prepared firebombs if he didn't have an agenda? It doesn't add up.

When you can get locked up for having a book it's terrorism. Having actual explosives is just a bit boisterous sometimes, depending....
