My solution if I was the Shiek, keep him….we don’t need money…..
I know you jest, but we do.

things must be bad in the world financially if the Sheik needs the money....i 'half jest' and really would like us to make a stand against the greed and out of touch mentality of these footballers nowadays...who else will FFS?
Sheikh Mansour doesn't need the money but City do. I'd love for us to take a stand but Platini's new rules mean that we can't just turn our noses up at £35m while paying someone £10m a year to train with the EDS squad.

So he wants to be near his family, in South America but nobody can afford him. Wouldnt the best solution be a swap deal with Santos for Neymar and we get sone cash? It's a win win situation really, thoughts?

Neymar has admitted that he listens to the advice of Robinho a lot , and Robinho admits that he 'advises' him ...... and i dare say he's told Neymar all about City , Mancini , Manchester ..... and the rain !

Very unlikely that he'd come here.

Ok we will throw in the deal breaker for good measures..Jo

Like your thinking, but not sure Tevez would even go for that. He whinged when he was at Corinthians as much as he is now so I'm not convinced he'd be prepared to go back to Brazil.

Why don't we keep him as part of our squad until someone pays the required amount to take him off our hands? He's often quoted as saying that 'he always gives 100%' so if that's the case then let him continue to play for us but give him the assurances that we will listen to any reasonable offer for him should one arise.

In the meantime let buy a goal scorer to replace him if/when he does leave. Problem solved in my opinion. He's been a great servant to us since he's been here, never let us down and has provided some moments of pure magic.

My first post in this forum. Hi!

I believe it's crucial that the club takes a hard line in this matter. Either we sell him at market value, or he must be made to stay and honor his contract - and shut up. If he gets off that easy, by Christmas we will have 2-3 of Tevez' teammates trying the same thing.

I wouldn't shed a tear if he leaves for Inter or wherever. He's been great for us - but I think the second half of the 10/11 season showed that we are not as dependent on him as we used to be. And I am getting really tired of his constant and embarrassing whining and complaining.

Not sure if I want Brazilian hair model Neymar as a replacement, though.

i don't really understand where people get £35 million as a fee from. over the last two years, you could justifiably argue that tevez has been THE best striker in the world. torres went for £50 million, carroll went for £35 million so why would we let tevez go on the cheap and then have to pay out big money to replace him? also, if he wants to be close to his family, why is he moving further away? has she agreed to live anywhere except manchester?

time to pull a flanker i'd say. get him a house in worsley, it comes under salford technically.
