Point 2 went through my head. Its a piss easy offence to pick up a card and with the number of matches coming up, he has a rest and sees his family.
A two week holiday, rest and a clean slate for Everton H, Newcastle United A, Aston Villa H.
and fully recharged for the games over christmas and new year how many is it about 5 in 2 weeks?

Correctamundo Deano.

I'd like to give Ade a chance, maybe we could just keep the same formation from today and switch Ade for Tévez along with Boateng or Richards for Kolarov with Zabaleta at LB:

Foward line should be

Jo - Balo - Silva

Or

AJ - Balo - Silva

I'd like to see Milner play next week down the middle. He was our motor against Salzburg.

3 of his 5 bookings have been stupid. Twice he has been booked for slamming the ball into the hoardings (today and one other home game - possibly Newcastle). He was also booked for the goal celebration at Blackpool. Am I the only one who thinks Mancini should have a word with him about accumulating avoidable bookings?

The other two were for attempting to block clearances by goalkeepers and should not have been bookings so he is a little unlucky also.

Is Ade injured or something?

I totally agree on the unnecessary bookings, I'll never understand how clubs put up with them. These guys make way too much money to miss games for such stupid reasons.

I think all of the PL teams should get together and make it clear to the players what exactly are "unnecessary bookings" and come up with some kind of punishment that the clubs can impose for each one.

Also, if I were a manager and had a player who received a yellow for taking off his jersey after scoring a goal, I'd have the equipment manager come up with a way to secure the player's shirt to their shorts when they're wearing them. I don't think anybody would be willing to strip down to their underwear because they want to celebrate.

Glad I am not the only one then! Unnecessary bookings for me would be any form of dissent, plus goal celebration bookings.

I agree that these bookings are totally uneccesary and as captain he really should stop getting them like this.

I would rather him miss west ham than everton but i would prefer it even more if he didn't miss any!

Send him to Argentina for a weeks holiday and let's hope we reap the benefit of the break

Fully agree. While we have plenty of players, they're not all necessarily firing on all cylinders and we need in form players available for games such as next week. I think Tevez was still angry about the disallowed goal but he has to be more careful.

After scoring a good goal, Tevez had a nightmare today.

Balotelli played really well, but not sure if he can play as a central striker. I'd bring Adebayor back
