Tevez comments in papers tomorrow...

Tevez has been no less than 5* for us (edit: okay, maybe not so great since January but as a whole)! His goals to games ratio is better than just about any forward in English football, including Torres and Drogba.

No two ways of looking at it, we will miss him, but we have the resources to make up for it. We do need a livewire like him in the side I think though, someone who can single-handedly lift the team.

Just a few thoughts. First - he has not left the club. Second - if he decides to leave he has paved the road to go properly. It won't be melodramatic this go round. Third - if he decides to stay you can guaranty he'll give everything he has for the team. That is just the way he is as a player.

It is easy to get all emotional about it and to get pissed at him. But I think that is a bit ridiculous. The guy has been massive for the club. And he isn't much different than a lot of other international players. He didn't grow up City. This isn't Beckham or Maldini playing for their boyhood club. If he stays we should all be thrilled. If he goes it will be for the reasons he has cited publicly. It will be about his kids. It is that simple. Keep in mind this is a player who has nothing to prove on the field. Other than the World Cup he's won everything there is to win. Save West Ham, where he pretty much was the player who kept them up, he's won trophies everywhere he's played. If he stays it will probably be to help bring City a league title. And I'd not bet against him in this team with just a couple more reinforcements. If the club pockets 50 million for him that should bring in two great players.

Really top post, I couldn't agree more.

Well said. Totally agree.

Good post there! If he stays amazing, if not, thank you for your performances and goals Carlos, you will always hold a place in our heart.

Any player who leaves a club who's just won the FA Cup and could potentially still finish 3rd, with the backing and vision we have, is mental. Absolutely, straight up, completely and utterly mental.

In many ways I'l have less respect for him if he does stay. Like many have said choosing not to wear a City scarf when lifting our first cup in 35 years spoke louder than any quotes in papers. I presume the whole 'undecided' routine is simply that, routine, until the end of the season. If he really wants to go because he thinks family relationships will improve abroad then staying after we've just won something will make him look like a right cock.

That said, respect or not, we're still a better team with him in it. If he stays, whilst likely now never going down as a true legend here, we'll be better for it. As long as that captains armband is still handed rightfully to Kompany at the start of next season.

Why is it mental. Put yourself in his shoes, he has been in this country since 2007. In that time he has won the Premier league, Champions league, Fa cup and League cup. He also has more money than he can possibly ever use. He can do whatever he wants now. Why not do it in the sunshine for one of the biggest clubs in the world?

He wants more money out of us. The climate issue is just a convenient smoke screen. And Italy has cold winters just like the rest of us in Europe.

We need to fire him off for extracting the Michael.

I don't want to hear anything until the season is over personally. right now there is still business to be down for champions league. when the season is over, then it would be nice for Carlos to make his decision quickly so we know were we stand and can start looking at another forward transfer

the way he threw off the city scarves and the red and black when he thought he was out of sight in particular was snidey and tells its own story
