If it is genuinely about his family I can understand completely and if a solution can be found wgere he can go back to be with them in Argentina then fine.

But, a penalty clause should be put in any exit deal that stipulates he cant go back to Argentina then suddenly move to a big European club 5 minutes later.

Well that depends on where his family is, doesn't it? Maybe they could consider life in Europe, if it was Italy or Spain, but not very interested in living in the UK?

Think Matt has it right....there are probably more direct flights to Argentina from Spain/Italy, but that's not insurmountable from UK . I'd guess it is more to do with being in a country where the language and culture are more familiar for his kids......and isn't his latest girlfriend Italian?
