What a shame. Threads are everywhere, and the lad should be covering himself in glory

Such a fucking shame.
Yes. It is a shame that it ends like this.
But let's face it, we are much better team without our over reliance on Tevez.

Over reliance?

He earnt that place. He ran our team and I can never agree with your view

I'm sure that he and silva could have complemented each other

People like you will never learn though, I don't know why I bother.
Yes.We were heavily reliant on him; to the point that our progression as a team was in danger of becoming stifled. Then, at the peak of his influence, he decided he wanted either
A. A return to his family
B. More money
C. A confirmation of his importance

Maybe just one or possibly all three? Take your pick.

Either way, no fooker ( especially a club captain) drops City scarfs, placed by fans who had waited decades to do that, and gets anything approaching good marks or kudos in my book.
He is a good player, but he is also probably one of the most selfish shits I have ever seen in a City shirt.

What I like is that not 1 player has mentioned him!!

I think the squad is happier without him... behind Bellamy and Adebayor I think that Carlos was the last of the trio that was causing problems!!

Re: Tevez to sue...

Yawn.

Textbook Kia, so ridiculously predictable. A club press release shows City looking strong and resolute, and Tevez looking like exactly what he is. So Kia attempts to counter it with a weak, non-statement:

"Carlos Tevez may sue Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini for defamation of character, BBC Sport understands."

Kia will be all over Sky, The Mirror and TalkSport about it, but I'd be amazed if he actually sues for real. Just like I'll be amazed if he actually did sue the Guardian for this http://bit.ly/r8u5RK after he did the same media round, saying he would.

His time is up, and Kia Joorbachian is almost finished in English football. This season or next, he will be gone for good, and not a second too soon.

Predictable...funny as hell but predictable

Although I am struggling to see what grounds there would be for defamation given the club's own investigation into the whole affair has found that Tevez did refuse to play so where exactly is the defamation?

Since Munich we have won 4 games. Scored 16 goals. Humiliated manu in their own backyard and on a personal level Mancini has had Tevez served up for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a sideorder of Hughes.

Frankly its getting embarrassingly one sided.

Bit like Sunday.

this after tevez admitted on camera that "his head was'nt right to play"

lol.

This, the law sucks now, if some guy who had real power just said "Sorry Carlos the evidence is there and you did say that, no if's or buts the club can do what they like to you punishment wise and you have no right to appeal". Then he could finish his coffee and move on to the next case.
Just the thought that certain law is so weak he can get out of it is a disgrace in it's self and needs changing.

I think that a few key points are being missed in this discussion - I'm not knocking the heartfelt input in this thread to date or anything like that but it is all pretty low level simplistic and missing the bigger picture entirely. So I thought I'd throw open the more holistic position to widen the topic.

1. The club will deal with the tevez situation in a manner that best meets the interests of the club and its shareholders. The Directors of Manchester City FC don't have a choice in that because it's an obligation incumbent upon all company Directors and you can lose your Directorship and even go to goal if you're found to fail in that regard.
2. world famous sporting personalities make at least as much in income from sponsorship, publicity activities, brand links, book & film rights, advertising etc. as they do from playing footie and that income exceeds their playing careers. This whole scenario will have cost the tevez brand multi-millions already and will continue to effect future earnings for many years. The most damaging aspect is him being kept out of the team and out of the spotlight so simply being sidelined is financial torture in itself and it will continue to cost him dearly long beyond the immediate situation. The £1m or £2m fine or whatever is peanuts compared to his total losses and he knows it and Mancini knows it so please don't think that he's getting off lightly . . he's being financially strangled and this will encourage him (and especially his agent) to make himself available for transfer by dropping his wage demands so that he can get in the spotlight again for the right reasons and bulk his earnings up in the few years he has left before age forces him out of the game.

We don`t have any shareholders,do we ??

Just want him sold now & away from the club.

He's Carlos who now. We look a better side this season & he has so far contributed nothing so the positives of moving him on outweigh the negatives for me.
