But that's what's annoying me. We've given him nothing but the best he could have hoped for, when he gave us the best we could have hoped for. I've shouted for him, defended him during his whole contract fiasco, cheered him on etc. and what does he repay me with? Leaving. Thanks for nothing, Carlos.

Players happiness is a big thing though and if he's not happy then let him go but this is where the big factor comes into play... ON OUR TERMS. Kia Joorabchian will know this and will be trying to keep city sweet. When Carlos first came to the club he (and others) were in a much stronger position now city are starting to produce on the field and if we get champions league then we can expect city to be even more powerful in the transfer market and rightly so.

So chin up bob they'll be good times ahead and with players happy to be here
But that's what's annoying me. What reason has Tevez got to be unhappy about? Apart from his kids not being here - a problem that can be quickly solved by simply moving them here - I don't see it. He's bloody captain, so it must show him how much we value him.

But then again - this could be complete rubbish.

I'm sure if it was something the club could sort out they most likely would but having said that i'm not sure if i'd want them to. How long can we bend to one persons will. Now seems like the right time to let him go. I'd rather it be in the summer than have him stick around if he is going to cause a fuss next season.

I can't see this being rubbish as he's made it clear he's unhappy and i think it's a straight shootout between madrid and milan for him

Did you consider the fact that he may just not like it here? As fans we love to try and justify everything by stacking it up against how much they earn in a week; He's earning 100k a week, he should be able to run for a full 90 minutes. He's earning 100k a week he should be able to score every game. He's earning 100k a week he should be able to put his emotions to the side and concentrate fully on our wonderful club. It just doesn't work like that, never has, never will. If he's not happy here he's not happy! It's a shame, but despite the unhappiness, has he ever given less than 110%? You could probably reel off a list as long as your arm of players who once unhappy, just don't bother, look disinterested and may as well not be on the pitch, not with Tevez.

I think you're comment about his kids problem being easily solvable probably highlights just how little you or I know about this whole situation. It clearly isn't that simple, or you can be damn sure our club would have made it happen. There are things that transcend money, this could well just be one of those things.

If he didn't like it here why did he stay in Manc when he left the scum?
He's as selfish off the pitch as he is on it, he wants to move because he can, it means nothing to him, friendships, loyalty etc. are obviously not an issue, he just fancies a change and his agent isn't going to complain.
Fuck him!

Mancini stays= tevez gone
Mancini goes= tevez?
Mancini stays = cavani in
Mancini goes= ? in

Sneijder + 25M and I'd be happy with that.

i'd do a straight swop. good for us and keeps united out of it.

yep - straight swap would be good business...............

I actually want Tevez to leave in the summer. If he stays..i can't see him playing well with Dzeko. And Dzeko would get limited playing time.

He is also so selfish and i would really like us to play more like a team.

exactly...........well said

-- Fri Apr 22, 2011 5:59 pm --

Shame, he won't have it any better that he does now at City. I'd be disappointed if we don't get at least £50m for him.

you'll be very disappointed then - he's only worth 25m tops.

a month ago I'd have been shocked at this - not that he wants to leave but it is very close.

Now, I find that since we beat the best team in the league without him, and the team seem to have a comraderie and play less selfishly when he's not there, I can't really be arsed? I think it's because I don't see a situation coming out where, if he does leave, we will not improve on it, at least personnel wise.

I hope he plays a part in the final because he is largely responsible for getting us to where we are, but if he leaves I will say thank you, good luck, and tell your agent/mate Kia to kindly fuck off and never return.

We'll see you next autumn in the group stages, where you will be in the back pocket of our real Captain.

My feelings also.

The semi was so important for many reasons, proving that we aren't a one man band was amongst the top ones - It certainly blunted the media arrows.....

As great a player as he is,i'm no longer concerned that we would struggle without him.
Onwards and upwards!!
