Tevez is on his way :D

We were mentioned in the article, so we must be in his thoughts.

And no, he nver belonged to West Ham, he is owned by MSI, a company that buys South American players (Don't make me get into why).

I'm not sure reading that he would be willing to come here, I wouldn't mind him though, he is still technically a West Ham player I think?

He was never a West Ham player, that's why they got into so much trouble.

Do people actually live in bubbles ?

No, I just said I didn't think it through.

Not the kind of forward we're looking for right now I feel, a little too short, not much of a target man. He's too similar to Rooney, that's why the rags generally don't play him.

I've always thought he was a little overrated myself. Performed well for West Ham only in the last 5 or 6 games to keep them up, hadn't done a whole lot in the games that predeed that.

At £30m+ there's very little value-add in the player, especially for us. Of the Premier League forwards that are supossedly available this summer, I would much rather have Roque Santa Cruz personally.

What is mentioned is some team abroad (unspecified, how convenient) offered 40 million for him. Sounds like the agent is after a touting him to us. Hope we tell him to go take a cold shower. I see we are linked with Alonso, but 18 mill seems a bit cheeky if Liverpool get Barry for 8million. I would have Barry for 8 and let Liverpool keep Alonso.

Alonso has been immense this season and as far as I'm concerned, Benitez wants his head checking. In my opinion, Alonso is a much, much better player than Barry and it's not my money so I don't really care about how much they cost.

Straight choice: Alonso or Barry, then it's Alonso every time for me. (although I'd happily take both of them!!!)

If it was just player vs player, I would agree. However, who is the best LEFT-SIDED player in midfield and who would get stuck in for 90 minutes? I think the answer changes under those conditions. Sadly, I think Barry will only leave Villa for Liverpool, and to play with his mate, Gerrard. Why would he switch to City when he is going to get the Europa League with Villa or the Champions League with Liverpool? He does not strike me as the kind of player who is all about the $$$$ or else he would have been gone away ago.

We need a left footed STRONG midfielder who can get forward and score a few. Love Alonso, but Barry fits that mould better.

I hope we're not looking to pay £30m for him, tidy player but he aint worth that much.
