Where you heard this mate?

Bollocks. Tevez may or may not stay but no way will the rags put it in writing that he's guaranteed a place in the starting eleven.

sorry if already posted, just saw this on the gaurdian though bbc footballs gossip page

Sir Alex Ferguson appears to have failed in a personal attempt to persuade Carlos Tevez that his future remains at Manchester United after he telephoned the 25-year‑old striker to speak to him directly.

The Argentinian, who has become disillusioned at Old Trafford, is considering his options, including a potential move across the city to Manchester City, although that is said to be "only one of a few options" he is weighing up. He is also said to have been nonplussed by Ferguson's intervention after a source close to him said: "You treat someone badly for a whole year, you don't make it up with a telephone call, right?"

The forward is unhappy at United because he believes that he should have been considered the automatic first-choice by Ferguson for the majority of United's high‑profile games last season. Tevez is also thought to be bemused that Ferguson is now seemingly keen to make him feel wanted only at the point where he may leave the club.

Tevez is in Quito for Argentina's World Cup qualifier with Ecuador, following which his advisers "will start talking with different clubs", the source confirmed. "It should take two to three weeks for Carlos's future to be finally decided." When asked about moving to City, the source said: "It's an option. But no one option is more serious than another – City, Chelsea, Liverpool: they're all options." The source also confirmed that staying in the Premier League is the "first choice" for the Argentinian, who is reportedly also attracting interest from other European clubs.

Asked if the forward, who has scored 19 goals in the Premier League since joining United two seasons ago, might still stay at Old Trafford, the source said there "is always a small chance" in football. Would Ferguson, then, try to personally intervene again? "Who knows? It's up to him."

Zak@work who is your source?

The whole saga was started by talk sport. Since then we have had varied amounts of "itk" that has proved incorrect. Its amazing how the itk comes out after the event. It looks as though it was a nothing story. It looks a though nothing is anywhere near compete, if at all we are in for him.

If that's the case Svennis then Spursmad would have a lot to answer for. Lets wait till July 1st shall we?

That is true. He did mention this before anything broke.

I think today changes everything though.

Whilst undestanding peoples frustrations has no-one spotted the pattern here since the thread started earlier in the week.

We spend all day saying it`s not happening, he`s not coming and all the rest of it.

Then of an evening someone will come on and say its sorted, don`t worry, he`s signed.

We`ll all go bloody mad at this rate.

The best, and the only one that seems right so far is the spurs lad, 1st july. That`s the more likely story.

Have Faith Blues.

Yet another example of how the majority on Bluemoon seem to only believe the media when they say positive things about us. The media are derided as knowing fuck all when they say Robinho's leaving and then lauded as gospel preachers when they say Tevez is coming. You can't have it both ways I'm afraid.

If Mike Parry and his cronies were talking shit 6 months ago about Kaka, chances are they're still talking shit now about Tevez.

It kind of sucks, I have been waking up every single morning checking newsnow and this forum expecting something new. Its all been talk and Barry's signing no one predicted. It just shows that we don't have ITK's. Its bullcrap.

For that reason, this will be the last post of the day and I will only check this forum and newsnow once a day and that should be at 9 pm.

I think the fact that City did not deny it adds weight to it. Only recently they denied bids for Messi and Raul.

On the other hand, i think if we are all basing this and getting our hopes up because of a talksport story - then we are all pretty dumb.

Time will tell, its frustrating but it is very much early doors yet. Sometimes a few players have to be sold to kick the market into action.
