Tevez [Merged]

If he comes fine. If not fine too.

Carlos Tevez is not an A lister. He is a good player but not a great one. People refer to his energy etc However in my opinion he is not in the same league as our very own Robinho in terms of talent.

During the last world cup he, Tevez had a big reputation, but it was other players Mascherano and Maxi Lopez who had more influence. Don´t get me wrong he is not a bad player. But 30 plus million. I think not. Aguero is superior and for that sort of money he is the one.

I don't understand where all the panic is coming from. United have, in all likelihood known they're going to sell Ronaldo this summer for most of the season. I cannot see it affecting Tevez's position one bit.

bobmcfc you sound like a little girl. Go and play in the corner with C_T_I_D you can both be pessimistic together out of the way

not pesimistic, just realistic i did think tevez was done and we were just waiting for the internationals to be over.all the signs are there that we are being messed about and they are dragging their heels and being told end of the month (which by the way is when the media are reporting the tranny deal will be complete and money exchanged), if he was in the baghe could of had a medical over there, kaka did !

I agree, I would pull out the deal before we are made to look even more like dicks.

If we pull out of every deal because we're scared it might not come off we'll never sign a player.

As far as the club goes, we've never said anything about a deal for Tevez, how would we look like dicks?

Just my opinion which after 31 years of being in this world I thought I may be entitled too? I think we should walk away, not because we may lose him but because other targets, better targets are being linked with every tom, dick and harry. For £30m+ there are far better, stronger and prolific targets out there we could be going for. I would rather see Forlan in our shirt than Tevez as his scoring record is far better and he wouldnt cost as much either. If Tevez signs then great we get one over on the rags but thats it for me, the only reason I would be jumping and if honest a lot of others on here would agree with that being the only reason.

Edit: as for looking like dicks, we have been winding up the rags, gloating and making up songs for a player who has not signed anything yet. We are contibuting to a thread thats rapidly heading for 200 pages based on a rumour. If he stay with them do you not think they will swarm our forum and gloat to fuck that "little City" got ahead of themselves? Regardless of money we can not compete with the likes of the rags, Real, or any other Chumps league team at the moment.

Agreed, Madrid wont have just rang them last night leaving United like "OMG, Wow, We didnt see that coming.......quick Alex ring Carlos and tell him you love him, we have the money now!"

I have no idea whether Tevez is going to come but for those saying we're being played by Tevez and Kia, well I can guarantee that Kia would not mess City about, mostly because he's a greedy git, and he knows that he can make a small fortune out of us- not just from Tevez but through our other targets and players he has ties with.

When someone is offering £25 million up front and £130,000 a week wages, trust me they're taken seriously!

We won't get all our targets but we will get some quality players we just need to be patient. We already have one very good player in the bag.

If tevez was on loan at say Aston Villa all year I dont think people would be that arsed either way(although he is better than what we have) Its the idea of getting a player off Utd because he was unhappy/they couldnt afford him that has got people going

I don't see how we would look dicks if he stays at the rags. As far as I'm aware no-one from the club has come out and said we have put a bid in for Tevez.

I think the whole Kaka fiasco in January taught Garry Cook etc that the best way to do things would be to keep it under wraps until the deals are done

i would like to point out that man utd are not as stupid as we think they knew that this money would come in for ronaldo its just the press have got a hold of it and its officially been accepted today.... if utd really wanted tevez they would of gone all out for him last week and im positive they knew about this ronaldo saga then.

Tevez will not really want to play 2nd fiddle again so i still say he will come to use.

Spoke to my source earlier and he said even though this has thrown a spanner in the works tevez will still come to city but it may take longer than he first said to me which was the 16th.. he now suggests it will be concluded any time between now and early july

See this is what I dont understand? If a player is going to join us and things are sorted then why would it "put a spanner in the works"? it doesnt make sense to me? You either have commited or you havent, if the latter then the deal is far from being sorted and in reality could fall through, if the former then why not say he is a City player now? To me it sounds like Tevez is holding out for the rags to change there minds about him and if thats the case then I dont want him at my club regardless of how good he is.

we have been here before and we are being played like a fucking fiddle again. ok lets wait a month and have united and tevez run rings round us.if he was coming it would have been wrapped up today like everyone was saying. pull out now

The rags are not playing us, thats for sure they are going to end up having to spend 5m more AND higher wages. Tevez and his team on the otherhand might.

Of course you are. And I'm entitled to disagree with you I presume.
