we're never going to trump real after what they have done. david villa looks like the next unveiling after tranny. unless we sign messi nobody is going to give a fuck who we sign or when we unveil them. so we better get on with it

Yeh, it's vital that we get him quickley so he can play in that vital game we have in 2 months.

sorry pal, all this maximum exposure stuff (and thats why were delaying announcing them) is just far fetched ! its not an excuse as to why weve delayed announcing a signing, were delaying cos wev'e not signed anyone. thats my point

Nope.

Were delaying it because the deal can't be 100% complete until the rags first option runs out. Otherwise it's a breech of contract.

The problem is, no-one truly knows when it ends. Some said Monday, Wednesday, today, next Monday and 1st July. So it looks as though were gonna be waiting longer.

You can agree a deal within 6 months of the end of a contract, player just can't be registered until the contract ends and the relevant transfer window opens.

fine if thats the case ( which i doubt). i was replying to another poster who thought the delay was because we were afraid madrid would steal our thunder.

Not sure I've seen this on here before...comments from Tevez's PR guy Phil Hall last week "So where is Carlos Tevez going? He will sign for the club that allows him to keep his pride and integrity. Sir Alex is the best manager that ever walked this Earth, but only because he has the budget to make people expendable. Carlos is a pawn in the great football chess game. Restore his pride and he will play for any team. When you are at his level playing football well is more rewarding than any pay packet, than any trophy. Decent human being do not judge their value on what they get paid - they judge it on self worth. And as a world class footballer you do not get that feeling sitting on the bench…"

There is no way that Phil Hall would say that or this from today "Ronaldo leaving must mean our client Tevez stays! or does it..."...without either knowing what is going on and/ or having Tevez's permission to post that.
