sorry if this has already been explained, but what is the difference between the contract that the scum have with tevez and the deal west ham had that was "bent"???

I think west ham claimed to own the players (tevez n masch). Where as utd have them on loan.

Not sure I've seen this on here before...comments from Tevez's PR guy Phil Hall last week "So where is Carlos Tevez going? He will sign for the club that allows him to keep his pride and integrity. Sir Alex is the best manager that ever walked this Earth, but only because he has the budget to make people expendable. Carlos is a pawn in the great football chess game. Restore his pride and he will play for any team. When you are at his level playing football well is more rewarding than any pay packet, than any trophy. Decent human being do not judge their value on what they get paid - they judge it on self worth. And as a world class footballer you do not get that feeling sitting on the bench…"

There is no way that Phil Hall would say that or this from today "Ronaldo leaving must mean our client Tevez stays! or does it..."...without either knowing what is going on and/ or having Tevez's permission to post that.

Good post URG

Those two comments give me the impression that Tevez is leaving to play first team football.

I'm going to sound thick here URG but what do you mean by that?

That since he said all that there has obviously been developments?

Apparently, the contract with West Ham had a clause that allowed the management company to sell on their player at any time. Therefore, not a legal contract within the PL

Well the first big piece was published last week...it's a little critical of Ferguson and makes it clear that Tevez wants first team football above anything else. If Tevez wanted to stay do you think he would allow his PR person to publish anything critical of Ferguson and team selection? I don't.

The comment from earlier today...well it says it all really....why do it if Tevez is staying. Again, there's no way Hall would publish that unless he had Tevez's blessing or knew what was going on.

Were delaying it because the deal can't be 100% complete until the rags first option runs out. Otherwise it's a breech of contract.

You can agree a deal within 6 months of the end of a contract, player just can't be registered until the contract ends and the relevant transfer window opens.

But this isn't the end of a contract, is the end of a loan agreement, in which is written Uniteds first option clause. And if he signs for another club, it violates that clause.

Tevez is only coming to the end of a loan deal, not the end of his parent contract.

06.45 - Hughes tackles Tevez question and refuses to talk about it as it's a day about Barry. Sounded interesting.....
