06.45 - Hughes tackles Tevez question and refuses to talk about it as it's a day about Barry. Sounded interesting.....

When we have been linked with Raul and other speculation, City or Hughes have been pretty quick to dismiss it. Proof (which is not required) that City are talking to or interested in Tevez.

not really lol

Well no denial...ah damn i hate being dragged into all this faux detective biz.

hughes always deadpans those type of questions, to be fair (sensible man). Though he did have that slight grin on his face, didn't he...reminiscent of the post-Sunderland interview.

But this isn't the end of a contract, is the end of a loan agreement, in which is written Uniteds first option clause. And if he signs for another club, it violates that clause.

Presuming that it's United and United only that has the option, I doubt that would be the case. They agreed a price that United would pay, but Tevez would still have to agree to it.

Tevez is only coming to the end of a loan deal, not the end of his parent contract.

His parent contract is owned by MSI isn't it, who presumably could give anyone they like permission to speak to him at any time.

anyone know this journalist?

I'd guess anyone can speak with him at any time, with MSI's permission. But we don't know what the stipulations in the loan agreement are. I wouldn't be surprised if, because this is a loan deal, there is no "6 month" rule. As his actual contract with MSI may be a career long one.

Nope, never heard of him!

sorry if this has already been explained, but what is the difference between the contract that the scum have with tevez and the deal west ham had that was "bent"???

The West Ham contract allowed MSI to influence what happened at the club, that was illegal. Other clubs have definately had gentlemans agreements in place allowing third party influence (ie Howard not playing against the rags a few years back) but as they weren't written into the contract it wasn't illegal.

In any case, any type of third party ownership is now banned, whether there is an influence or not.

I'm not saying Tevez would agree to go there, all I'm saying is that Tevez cannot sign a deal with City or any other club until Uniteds first option runs out. He can have the medical, agree terms with City and all the contracts could be ready, but he cannot sign for any other club until either United waive their first option right, or the agreement runs out.
