On a different note... My old man is in Spain this week and he has just rung me for an update on City. He happened to mention he had been speaking to a few people out there who are big Real supporters, they have told him that they dont want Trannie and rumour is the deal could fall through due to his medical (was always a possibility I guess, and the reason Trannie today has denied speaking to the club) I would piss my sides if this was true. Interestingly though, rumour over there is we are sniffing around Wesley Sneijder and Gabriel Iván Heinze. I know this has been mentioned before but found it interesting that the Spanish are talking about this too and not to mention the fact we are now seen as one of the big teams in Europe. Also let it be known I am not saying these will happen as it's just Real fans info from Spain.

Well up for Sneijder, he is v good and works his socks off. Similar position to Ireland though
so we shouldnt buy anyone who plays in irelands position then in case we offend superman, get real, there are better players out there than st. stephen.

Exactly what we are saying. St. Stepehn played as well as anyone in the league last year. Why on eath should we buy anybody to replace him? He has the work ethic we want at city, he is an academy boy so has the club in his heart, and has at least a decade more to play. I think some fans should get real and relise we are building a club and not buying every decent player under the sun. It send the wrong message to players if they work hard and have an amazing season then we replace them juts becasue we can.

There are well founded rumours going around that City are trying to bring in a Real Madrid player...I've not been able to find out much more than that and apologise now for the total vaguery of it. Mind you, it makes sense...City are in the market for quality players and Real Madrid are looking to lose some quality players and replace them with "Galacticos".

irelands had a good season, yes, but the year before most blues wanted him out dont forget!

Sounds interesting, and makes perfect sense, I am hoping for Van Der Vaart, Huntelaar or Sneijder.

Yes but, you cannot just kick a member out of the team who is City through and through and has done sooo much for the club last season.

It's simple. If Ireland is good enough to challenge players in top4 and champions league, then he has a future with us. If not, then his first team place is in question. We can't just take players on ride no matter how loyal, academy youngsters, hard working they are if we want to reach our ambitions. As long as Ireland (and others) are up to our standarts there should be no problems.

But we still need cover for Ireland.

The source is very very close to the action at City but they didn't know the name. Since then I've dug around but can't find anything! So put it down as a rumour for now but it seems plausible....especially as City were rumoured to have met with Real Madrid some months ago for a chat.

This could have legs then URG... Was funny because like I say my old man rang about half an hour ago and he happened to mention this as he is in Spain at his house out there and was talking to some Real fans in the local bar about the Trannie deal etc and they mentioned these players being linked with us. They were saying that City are now well known and they have rumours like we do, lets hope something comes off eh.
