Here's a question for you..

why do we need to wait until 1st of July to announce Tevez has signed (if he has signed) when United are able to announce that he's not going to be a part of United's plans?

Who's toes would we be stepping on exactly by annoucing him earlier?

Certainly not Uniteds that's for sure!

I've thought the same, doesn't make sense to me at all.

Said on key 103 this morning that chelsea have pulled out of the race to sign carlos tevez :-)
Did I not say this yesterday evening.
Hi Lads and Ladies,
My mates uncle has just rung him up while I have been out (His uncle has close relations with a board member at city)
and said that he has been told by this board member that Chelsea have dropped out of the race to sign Tevez as they want to spend the money on Ribery and concentrate on that deal.
Don't shoot the messenger this is what I have been told and my source does not make this sort of thing up.

I just read that too however,

I reckon Mr Cook and Kia-ora Joorab-chinny would have concluded it all properly and quickly as Kia J wouldnt want to mess about the richest club in the world for future business and since Kia is a high profile agent, we wouldnt want to mess him about either?

Why the F.A. want to get involved is beyond me... i say that because..

If anything underhand was going on with 3rd party ownership, it'd be found out down the line and we'd be punished anyway!?

does anyone else think the F.A. wouldn't waste their time eyeing over it?

taking so long!!!!! the transfer window hasnt even opened! chill out....he'll be here come august, ewood park, 3pm

But City could announce the deal, and then the Premier League could have a look at the paperwork?

It's not exactly drawn out when you consider the Ronaldinho and Kaka sagas.

There's a theory that the deal is done, but City want to hold on to the 1st July 2009 so that they can make a big splash with their Umbro Day -but wouldn't that take away from it? i.e The world would be talking baout tevez, and not Umbro?

Simplest explanation is that Tevez is being paid by Utd until the 30th June 2009, and has given himself until then to determine his future. The size of the fee, and wages seems to be frightening off rivals at the moment
