There doesn't have to be a press conference for them to announce the deal. If/when a new player signs isn't it usually put on the website with some quotes off Hughes and a picture? Then a few days/a week later there will be a press conference.....I might be wrong but thought that was how it usually works

Work's filter wont let me get on oddschecker. Is it really 1/25!!!??? Bloody hell! It's been 1/7 for about a week with no change whatsoever. So something has surely happened?

You don't need a news conference to be able to sign someone though. I don't think there'll be a City press conference for about 2 weeks. We're in Germany and then straight off to South Africa. Although Cook and co will stay behind trying to close some deals, no press conference would be done without the manager.
