i too am a little fed up of all the will he or wont he shit, if this is all bullshit and paper talk etc why doesn't carlos come out and say so and let the club and the fans plan and look forward to the season ahead with the excitement of last season still ringing in our ears.
i dont know who the fuck he thinks he is, this is manchester city, not west ham(cheats) not trafford rangers(couldn't afford him) not even his beloved but very skint boca fucking juniors, this is manchester city, the team who are going to win stuff, win lots in fact, with the best players on the planet in our squad. perhaps is this he is not happy with, soon he wont be "Mr city" he'll be one of a number of players that should they join the club and carlos fancies a strop will just drop right in to his place without the tiniest blip in our formation.

i'd love him to stay as he's an incredible player but if he thinks he can hold manchester city to ransom he's going to be disappointed, sorry carlos to break this to you but you ARE replaceable, very few are not.

lastly his thinly veiled attack on manchester is a "come and get me" call to chelsea, well it wont wash, he can go to madrid assuming they have 50m spare if not he should knuckle down and get on with the 5 year deal he so eagly signed when we rescued him from the bench at the swamp. failing that throw him in the reserves for two years and see how long it is before he back tracks, we can afford to do that like no other club.

I know he scores an outrageous percentage of our goals, but is it possible that the team is suffering from Theirry Henry syndrome, where everyone is trying to hard to get it to that one player? Sure he scores lots but whos to say someone else couldn't fill that gap next season.

Also, we have 3 other (Adebayor included) world class strikers and it doesn't seem as though Tevez can work with any of them. Sure the guys a talent but hes a selfish asshole and I just think it wouldn't be the end of the world if we got rid of him for someone else. (Ibra, Eto'o, Cavani)

He isn't happy here and doesn't want to be here (before i write another word that should automatically mean he should be fucked off anyway!); it's been forgotten that from February-April he was shit; he drops deep too often and leaves nobody upfront (Porto's Falcao stays upfront, is quicker and is good in the air as well as the floor!); he's too greedy at times when better options are available; he's the captain yet can't speak English and doesn't take up any action whatsoever with ref's when the opposition are time wasting; he fucks off on holiday when there are games to play (Feb/March the season before last he missed about 5 games, and got suspended on purpose at home to Newcastle last season then when suspended and should have still been training with City he was in Tenerife with some bird); he's best mates with a complete **** of an agent, so what do you all think Carlos is?; he's never stayed anywhere for more than a few years and fucks off somewhere else at the drop of a hat.... i could go on.

As for Carlos, he should thank his lucky stars that he is such a wealthy and cossetted individual who gets paid fortunes for kicking a ball around. He could still be in the slums and should thank his god every day that he is not. He made his bed by shagging around and should just knuckle down, earn his crust and stop whinging like a spoilt little brat. Of course he wants to see his kids. So do people serving overseas in the forces and oil workers etc. So do those who are estranged from their ex's but have no access to their kids for whatever reason. This guy has fuck all to whinge about by comparison as both he and his family are set for a life of constant luxury already. He can retire as soon as he has fulfilled his contract and spend all his time with his kids if that's how he truly feels. In the meantime he can jump on a jet and be pampered in first class and visit them all expenses paid whenever the opportunity presents itself. This guy should show some respect to Manchester City Football Club who are treating him like fucking royalty and a little appreciation and humility would not go amiss.

If them red bastards could lose Ronaldo and still challenge right at the top, then we can lose Tevez and still be right up there, as Ronaldo is far superior to Tevez. Tevez scores most of our goals now, but when a good player leaves a club other good players step up to be the top dog so to speak.

I think his period of Injury just after new year helped is, it allowed the rest of the team to get used to playing with each other properly, and then when he came back we still played that way, just with extra impetus moving forward.

I'm a big fan of Carlos and I think he is important to us . .
However, having seen the 'not going back to Manchester' interview, I accept that he should be replaced. As previous posters have pointed out so eloquently, he's certainly not irreplaceable and his refusal to learn or linguistic inability to speak English made him a poor choice as captain (think Roberto gave him the armband to try to give him a sense of ownership and inspire some loyalty).

Fact is that we have the ball in the opposition box so often that any decent striker would get a healthy tally so his goal ratio isn't so amazing under the circumstances.

Anyhow, I'm resigned to us losing him so big thanks to the fella for his undoubted hard work - he's had a great work ethic but has undoubtedly been disruptive to the harmony of the club.
What we need is a replacement striker who can keep his head down and attitude correct at all times . .
