The problem for Tevez is only a few clubs can afford his price tag and whom seriousuly is going to spunk 35 Million and more on a player whom wants to quit Europe in 3 years and have never stayed at a club for longer than 2.

Maybe that was the real reason why he was determined to play in the cup final ....... because he knew it was a showpiece game , he knew people in Europe and beyond would take notice of it or watch it , and he basically put himself in the 'shop window' .

Maybe but that was also the only piece of silverwear he had not won (I thinlk) as he wont the prem - cl - league cup at the rags

Still think he may be percieved at damaged goods - can you imagine the conversation - so Carlo you want 200K plus a week - City want 35 Million plus transfer fee and you want to fook off in three years time to go back to Argentina to play happy families

Real or Inter may pony up the dosh but with the FIFA Fair Play rules essentially there would be no resale value on him because he wants to leave Europe in 3 years and go back home - and as he has already demonstrated a contract really wont hold him if he wants to go

Re: Players turn on Tevez and don't want him as captain

In all my recent discussions with Sheikh Mansour this has never been mentioned - not even when he played, 'zymurgy,' on a triple word score linking in with, 'protozoa,' in our most recent game. I therefore tend to disbelieve it.

Re: Players turn on Tevez and don't want him as captain

So when are they supposed to have told Mancin - seeing as they are all on holiday in, presumably, different parts of europe. It would have to be by phone so are the Independent hacking phones (again?) or does he have a direct line to Mancini.

This is one article, if untrue, the club needs to stomp on and hang the author by his bollocks.

Saying that, I think VK would be a much better captain :-)

hehe .......

you've not been askin' the Sheikh for money again to fund your 'little habits' , have you?

You know what he said last time , don't you ?

That Carlos was his best friend now!

Re: Players turn on Tevez and don't want him as captain

It's fairly obvious that the club have been preparing VK to take over as club captain.

That the Sheikh and I are joint owners of a religious costumiers for dwarves is common knowledge.

Re: Players turn on Tevez and don't want him as captain

On a separate point, would you take £12/£13m for Boateng from Bayern?

I'd say yes and put it towards a dedicated full back (more versatile, with pace) as Boateng is definitely more of a centre back. Can't see him dislodging Lescott or Kompany at the moment.

Only other scenario is to keep him as a squad player and sell Kolo, but the stink that would cause in the press, combined with the negative impact it would have on Yaya makes it a no go for me.

Re: Players turn on Tevez and don't want him as captain

IMO I honestly believe that the majority of Citys First Team Squad probably think the same.
Carlos as we all know, was given the Captaincy,to make him feel wanted by the hierarchy, even though it appears that he feels that Cook and Marwood have different views.
In all fairness,a good move, but now IMO if the players were given a vote, instead of the management, then nowadays Big Vinny would win it hands down.
Would Carlos accept it now ??
Stay, but Vinny will be the new Captain !!
Who knows, but if he doesn`t accept it,assuming it happens, then Carlos is the loser and not City.
Hopefully both soft boy Kia and Carlos will accept waht is best for the Club and not as an individual.

Re: i've got a way of solving the Tevez problem!

Make his family live in England, and if they leave kill them. At least if they're dead he won't have to worry about them being on the other side of the world...
