I've got a way of solving it as well.

I've loved the guy and love his goals but when a multi millionaire player says he cannot stand leaving his kids behind my answer is "then don't, stay with them, you can afford it, so stay there". Plenty of blokes working away from home, in the forces or whatever who have to work and can't afford to give it up. So sorry Carlos but you can make that choice.

exactly, if money doesn't make him happy then don't chase it, go home and stay there. I'm sick to the back of my teeth of this fucker TBH, even if he does stay its pretty certain that at some point next season (probably late November) the dummy will come out and he'll upset the apple cart again. I like the way he plays but I certainly wouldn't make an effort to like this fella, he's making a mockery of us, his team mates, our club and the city that most of us are from. How much money do these fuckers need? he's an arrogant **** and our club would be better without him.

Re: Players turn on Tevez and don't want him as captain

What a sorry mess. It appears as though someone from the club is trying to force the issue. (Cooke's retaliation for Kia/Tevez's NOTW interview????)
Either way it wont lend for good team spirit when training starts again. It's going to end in tears.

Re: Players turn on Tevez and don't want him as captain

While the story is false, the assumption is probably true. It is clear who the leader of the squad is, Vincent Kompany! And surely when the captain has been this iffy, it is only fair he is de-captained. I for one wold support the de-captaining of Tevez. Let him make his decision whichever way he wants, but the captaincy should be off the table regardless of if he decides to stay or go.

Re: i've got a way of solving the Tevez problem!

Fed up of hearing about it. If he goes he goes. But he has to realize we want the going rate & not just a few bob.

Re: i've got a way of solving the Tevez problem!

I would like another season from him in the chumps league but if its not to be then such is life.

He never stays at any club for an extended period of time so the odds are he will play for at least another 2 clubs before he returns to Argentina for good.

Re: i've got a way of solving the Tevez problem!

Just shown a clip on SSN, showing him on some corny Argentinian tv show, slagging Manchester off again, saying there's nothing to do, and there's only 2 restaurants!!

Wish he'd just keep his mouth shut, not good for the captain to be continually putting the place down!!

Agreed , you can see Vincent being at City for the rest of his career.

Re: Players turn on Tevez and don't want him as captain

Mancini should just come out and say:

"Vincent Kompany will be my team captain in 2011-12 and Nigel De Jong will be my vice captain. This will allow the club to nurture the leadership potential our 2010-2011 Player of The Year, a world class player, who has committed his long term future to the club. We look forward to welcoming both our current players and, hopefully, some exciting new players back for the pre-season camp and tour, as we prepare for the biggest season in the club's history."

DONE AND DUSTED!

Then, let's see if it is all about CT or MCFC?!

Re: Players turn on Tevez and don't want him as captain

I don't like that we are lowering ourselves to Carlos and Kia's levels by washing our dirty laundry in public.

We are in a proper quandry here as if we have to replace Carlos then there is only a small number of forwards that can fill those boots, having to wait whilst he makes his decision is really not good for our plans.

Seeing as Carlos likes to think he has a direct line to Sheikh Mansour then I would like to think the Sheikh might get involved to force the decision.

Why would City brief the newspapers with this?

Sounds like rubbish to me.
