And the same could happen if we still kept him at arms length.PistonBlue said:I find it interesting that you chose to jump all over my use of a phrase rather than address the point.
But, to explain the phrase for you, there are those who would welcome a Tevez return (pro Tevez) and those who are against it (anti Tevez)
Hope this helps.
This is irrelevant to me, what is relevant is that we give it our best shot. Which in my opinion includes having at our gametime disposal ALL our best talents. Of which Tevez is very much one.
I think we have a better chance of winning the league with Tevez in the squad, it is not a guarantee. Just like we have a better chance if Vinnie plays most games, and Silva plays most games and Yaya plays most games and Hart plays most games and Micah plays most games. When the above names are available, our chances of winning each particular game they are in are greater. When Balo can come of the bench, ur chances of winning such a game a greater. It is my believe that when Tevez is available as a sub option, our chances also get better.
So why on God's earth would I want to limit City's chances. or be FOR any position that limits City's chances?
I understand there have been issues, and they may very well be unsolvable long term. I get that. But there is a reality here: Tevez cannot leave until summer. And one of the reasons City couldn't improve more this January was coz Tevez could not be sold. So knowing that the 2 sides are stuck with each other till May, why would I want to reduce City's chance when a player of Tevez's Caliber could be on their bench.
Good post, and I would normally agree with everything you say Dax. BUT your post is built on the assumption that Tevez would be 100% committed to the cause.
This is where it falls down for me. A 'professional' footballer that refused to warm up/play in any game never mind the CL in front of the worlds media, then packs his bags and sods off to Argentina without permission, can NEVER BE TRUSTED.
