Tevez named in 25 man squad

It sickens me to say this but we should consider playing him.
Its a case of cutting our nose off to spite our face if we don't. He's here till the summer anyway.

I'm off to punish myself.

I am talking about right now. It is clear we have slowed down drastically:
August 2011: Lost 1 game
Sept 2011: Lost 1 game
October 2011: Lost 0 games
November 2011: Lost 1 game
December 2011: Lost 1 game
January 2012: Lost 4 games.

If you can't see the stark difference. We need all our talents on deck now. Including the annoying ones.

Yes.

Tevez talent is at City's disposal.
How is it ? He's 8000 miles away, and hasn't trained with the club for 3+ months, he's not at our disposal in any way, how do people not see this ? Its incredible.
Waiting for a sensible answer, how we can use an unfit player who is 8000 miles away.
The question here if you read the thread is not whether we can use him. People don't want us to EVEN if we could! So lets stop pretending this is some logistics issue. I isn't. It is a pride issue. There are fans who are so mad at him that they can't put their pride aside and think thru what may be best for the club (and even Tevez.) He is afterall a human, and once led the charge that brought us so much joy. So must we now only remember him for the angst he brought?

City can use a player of Tevez's talent> I can't count how many threads on which the question "why didn't Mancini get a striker?" popped up. ANd how many agreed with that view. Now lets assume the following facts

There is a striker, more skillful than 90% of those in the EPL. Has extensive EPL experience, has shown an ability to lead an uncreative midfield in the past before, has over 6 yearst of productive Prem experience, works harder on the field than any striker most of you have ever known. But he is out of game shape. Would you want this striker on loan for the next 4 months if City could pull it off?

The answer here will be YES! 99% of the time. That Hypo without Tevez's name tells you what is best for City, and what is best for Tevez. You can do the same hypo with Tevez. We (City and Tevez) are best reconciling.

The Club knows it, and so does Tevez. We need each other, and it is time the fans (the least influencial in terms of results) stop being puff pride chested.

And Let Tevez back in the fold. Even if just for a short period.

-- Thu Feb 02, 2012 9:27 pm --

That is all I am saying :)

think majoriy of this whole thing is Kia's work, (not the car company) and Tevez has realised that his value has plummeted, (last year there would have ben 5+ clubs begging to buy him for 40m let alone 25m!

He needs to play to increase his value and then get bought in the summer...

City MAY need him to play to both increase his value and if we need another striker.

So we just need to stick with it whatever happens, Mancini has said he will only play again if he makes a publc apology to the club and fans, so i'll be waiting with bated breath.

Its called a shop window, Tevez comes back plays his heart out and we lift the premiership title his diserability and stock goes up in value he leaves in the summer. For me its a win win situation we get a world class player, Tevez gets the opportunity to prove he still is s world class player.

In Todays Mirror:
Carlos Tevez's agents are believed to want to hold talks over a move from Manchester City to Russia, where the transfer window does not close for another three weeks. Oil-rich Anzhi Makhachkala are interested in the Argentina striker.

Would love to see him sent to play in the cold - the twat. Hope there's something in this.

How can you play someone who as done what he's done it's not so simple as him being world class and we need him. You have to look at everything the whole picture and what it would involve.

What about a bad reaction from a full stadium half booing and slating him on every touch it will happen there's no doubting that you only have to read the reation on here, the guy may as well have spat in face of everyone who bought a shirt put his name on the back or sang his name. How do you think the other players would react to this I'm sure none of them has ever experienced something like that. A quick one two with him and the boos are still ringing from their own fans when they have the ball. What about people who refuse to slate him sat next to someone who does it will happen I can imagine our own fans argueing all game over this and wouldn't be shocked to see fighting in the ground amongst our own fans. The atmosphere in the ground would be killed as soon as he set foot on the pitch.

What about him getting on the pitch infront of players who have been on the training ground all year working hard for their places in the squad and he comes back and takes a players spot. They are not going to be thinking it's fine if we go and win the league they'll be banging down Mancinis door, this would take the much banded about disharmony in the dressing room to a different level. I'd imagine the majority of the players wouldn't welcome him back after he not only let the supporters and the club down he also let down the squad.

He put in 2 transfer requests, gave half hearted perfomances at the start of the season ,came back overwieght and then when still getting in the team he refused to play.Probably thinking this would get him his move he the to his horror found Mancini after saying he'd never play again offering him a way back with appologies all round.
He tried everything to alienate himself from the team and when nothing worked he does nothing more than fucks off back home. After all that he's going to come back and put a performance in when he didn't at the start of the season probably thinking it would get him his move this transfer window.

Since then his mouthpeice and him have done nothing more than rubbish the club and the manager and not shown any remorse or offered any sort of appology for what has happened laying the blame on anyone but himself and yet again people are still saying he will put it all in when on the pitch.

The club is always bigger than any player and Tevez is no execption to that and it's not something minor here what he's done is unpresidented and allowing him back the club we would get slaughtered by not only the press but by football as a whole.Just about everyone is saying we shouldn't back down for the good of the game people are looking at us knowing if we back down then it's open for another player to do the same and the club would be dragged through the mud.

The disruption it would cause in the dressing room and most importantly at the stadium would most likely not be recovered from not only this season but for many to come it would tear apart fans who have in the main sat beside each other supporting this club through thick and mainly thin,I really could see some of our own fans fighting each other in the stadium over this.

Not winning the league this season would be a fair price to pay to keep the squad and again most importantly the fans of the club together because for all the money the owners have without this we will win nothing.

He cannot and shouldn't play for the club again.
