;)

jo - shit, foreign, happy just sitting around taking a massive wage
carlton cole - scores goals, would be cheap, contributes to home grown player quota, low wages, and i reckon he would score goals with decent service, reckon he would be quite happy just playing against shit opposition and in the early stages of the cups.

Being better than Jo is not a good reason to sign a player.

well rather than being a bit of a dick tell me someone who will be happy to play a bit part player in the 4th striker role that aint as bad as rocky, jo and caicedo??? I bet ur gonna say someone like lukaku, hes an up and coming star who will want more than the odd game and we already have balo and dzeko???

Utterly brilliant! But did someone here actually suggest Carlton Cole? Nurse!!!!!!!

Let me preface this by stating I don't think Tevez is as good as most City fans. I think the perfect deal is already on the table. There are 2 Argies with similar styles who both want out of their present clubs. Tevez out of City and Aguero out of Athletico.

Aguero has claimed he wants to move on to a bigger club and challenge for titles, Tevez wants to move to a country where his kids can stay (apparently Spain and Italy are more condusive. How convenient). All we need is a straight swap. No cash exchanges. Give them Tevez, and we get Aguero. If all are being truthful in their claims, (which I know they are not) then this is an easy solution.

City, Athletico, Tevez and Aguero's agent should all meet up at monte del plata over the weekend, hopefully after beating Colombia and sign the deal.

We do not need a 4th striker, Jo or whoever is the striker for the EDS team will do. Having 3 young strikers in Dzeko, Balotelli and Aguero is enough. Get in 2 attacking mids who can cameo at striker - Nasri, Mata, Cazorla, Lavezzi fit the bill. And lets get on with it. All these talks of Tevez being irreplaceable is laughable. But I will wait till season starts to say I told you so.

Jesus, lighten up, I was just messing around. But yes someone like Lukaku or that lad we have been linked with in France recently. I'm not convinced 18 year olds will expect more games at a top 4 club than Carlton Cole would expect. What makes you so certain he'd be happy to play so little, have you asked him? I'd much rather keep Caicedo than buy Carlton Cole to be honest.

For me the perfect replacement would be Suarez at Liverpool, sadly I think the chances of getting him are extremely slim!

I'm beginning to think Tevez might stay, not because he wants to, just because he might not have any other choice. He's contracted to us for another 3 years, we have no reason to let him go on the cheap and even if a club match our valuation, he may well reject their personal terms.

If Tevez does leave I imagine it will be as part of a player + cash deal, but that brings about its own difficulties as a player may no want to be used as a bargaining tool, or the bidding club may not have a player that City want.

Any deal for Tevez has to satisfy City first and that won't be an easy ask. For what its worth I think he'll go to Inter or Real, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's a City player till January at least, whether he wants to be or not.

If he wants to be close to his family then how about a stright swap for Neymar from Santos
Santos can't afford his wages. They are scraping together a 90k a week deal for Neymar, and that should be more than they can handle. I doubt the whole team's wage right now is above 250k a week. Talk less paying one guy that much. Neymar would be a fantastic replacement though.

Some scottish football correspondent guy just been interviewd on talkshite who seems to be well in with Real madrid.
He reckons it's the only feasable destination for Tevez gievn all the variables and that City ands them have already had successful bsuiness dealings with the loan of Ade.
He reckons the likely scenario would be some sort of swap for Higuain.

What do you lot reckon ?
Is this a goer ??
